Oh, what a turn-around! Another person for the trip to the convention! Sounds like fun (not!) A very enjoyable chapter, as always.

Thanks, Wendy, for this terrific review and the helpful edit. This should be an experience for Rachelle and me. Lol. Gretchen

This is a really neat story. I'm glad it is continuing but I don't think I could handle traveling with Jane. In fact, I know Jane (actually her name) that sounds just like her. I can't imagine a road trip with her.

Jane is going to be the burr under their saddle. We shall see if she makes it to Atlantic city. Lol. Thank you for this. Gretchen

LOL, I guess the Nazi question might be one that a Jew would ask a German! Your answer was even better:-)

Well, there had to be tension, didn't there? This should be an interesting trip. Are we taking bets on whether Gretchen punches Jane in the nose?
I enjoyed this chapter, Gretchen.

There will be a lot of eye rolling and biting their tongues. A four hour trip will seem to last forever. Thank you for this. Gretchen

You made me smile with this humorous post and although you are being rescued I sensed some apprehension in this continuing trip with unwelcome guests! Another fine chapter Gretchen, love Dolly x

The unwanted hitchhiker will be part two of our adventure. I'm glad you liked this post and got a chuckle out of it. Thank you for the extra star. Gretchen

I should have figured you weren't done with the surprises. This is a good story. And I always enjoy your work. I made up a book with a story for every letter now, even if I can't write a novel I can make a book of short stories or poems. I feel so accomplished now, :-)

That is a great accomplishment. Have you put it in book format on here or in the short works? Thank you for this nice review. Gretchen

Now the contest is over I can tell you, I wrote a reversal poem called Xavier. It has points! :-)

This is a very good addition to this book. I can't wait to see what Jane brings to this, other than to drive you crazy. It should be fun addition. I can't wait to read more.

Shes going to do more than drive me crazy. It should be an eye opening ride. Thanks so much for this. Gretchen

HAHAHAHA. And we thought Amish Country was bad. At least it was wide open and no strange PEOPLE - just a strange situation! Should be interesting to see how Lucy and Ethel do with THIS new challenge.
You've drawn Jane great already. We're ALL interested to see how long it takes for her personality to shine through and ruin this already precarious road trip even more. This ought to make Rebekah appreciate Amish Life!!!
Great chapter, Gretchen, and I loved the tender moment you shared with Hannah. Perfection.

Thank you, Rachelle, for this wonderful review. I do think Jane is going to keep me on the edge of my seat. But we will be stuck together for a while. Thanks for the extra star. Gretchen

I really enjoyed this scene! It was funny and so enjoyable. Gretchen and Jane are so entertaining. I also liked the touching moment with Hannah and the corn husk doll. Great job.

Well, goodness, I thought this would be all fun and games from here on out, going to the convention, etc. but here is another "hook". You're going to be a blithering idiot by the time you get there.

I'm dangerously close to a slithering idiot some days already. Jane will test all of our patience, even Rebekah. Thank you for this. Gretchen

Excellent. Nicely put together.
I particularly like the "there's always hope" snippet.
It sort of feels like you and Rachelle have converged onto a similar vein. I wonder if that would be the natural course for any two writers engaged in your sort of project.
Best wishes.
