When you're young and healthy, you don't expect to need or rely upon the care and concern of others. Your piece shows that it's possible to find comfort in sustaining relationships through life's difficulties. Nicely done!

Yes, the young will be surprised when they find out they will need care from others when they grow old.
Sustaining relationships throughout the ages is the best thing we can hope for. I am fortunate to have friends who are also caregivers.
    Thanks for the positive feedback.

You are right. It;s connection with friends which make all the difference, especially when one is feeling unwell and vulnerable. I hope that you are fully well again, and will be stronger with each passing day.

Hospital visitors are an important part of recuperating whilst we are there, and in your case most importantly to be able to help you understand and communicate with your doctors, I am glad to hear that you are home and on the mend****kahpot

I'm happy to hear that you're getting better and that you have a great circle of friends that support you in your time of need.
My grandson is in the hospital because he has 2nd and 3rd degree burns and is receiving skin grafts. They are worried about infection so he can't have visitors. His caregivers are so very important. Thank you for sharing how important friends and caregivers are.

Blessings
Janet

Dear Jesse, I'm so pleased to read that you're getting better (I love the reference to the Beatles song). It's often when we're ill or feeling low we appreciate our friends the most, that fellowship of support that breathes oxygen (literally) into our lives. I've never had pneumonia, but I've heard from others how debilitating it can be. It's therefore important that you rest as much as possible even though you're over the worst. My very best wishes to you, Jesse. Take care Debbie

That Beatles song has always been a favorite of mine.
Thanks for your concern and caring I will rest and relax over the weekend and then next week attempt to exercise a little bit as I ease into walking with a walker again. It's a slow process. Baby steps.
Thanks for your kind wishes. Take good care of yourself, my friend.

Another fine write, Jesse, pneumonia is bad news and I'm glad you are feeling better. You're so right, friends help just by being there and by listening. You shouldn't have to fight your battles alone.
