Yes, the young will be surprised when they find out they will need care from others when they grow old.
Sustaining relationships throughout the ages is the best thing we can hope for. I am fortunate to have friends who are also caregivers.

My grandson is in the hospital because he has 2nd and 3rd degree burns and is receiving skin grafts. They are worried about infection so he can't have visitors. His caregivers are so very important. Thank you for sharing how important friends and caregivers are.

I'm so sorry for your grandson who is receiving skin grafts because he got burned with 2 and 3-degree burns. Yes, visitors are vital to the well-being of someone who is in the hospital.

It's often when we're ill or feeling low we appreciate our friends the most, that fellowship of support that breathes oxygen (literally) into our lives. I've never had pneumonia, but I've heard from others how debilitating it can be. It's therefore important that you rest as much as possible even though you're over the worst. That Beatles song has always been a favorite of mine.
Thanks for your concern and caring I will rest and relax over the weekend and then next week attempt to exercise a little bit as I ease into walking with a walker again. It's a slow process. Baby steps.
