The first thought I had was of a lone traveler that's adrift in the sea of life. But really not alone after all, because the celestial bodies are the guide.
Thoughtful wirds and well presented piem

Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us. You have a beautiful presentation. I can't help but feel that this unmoored boat will enjoy it's journey under the beautiful sky. Good luck with the contest.

That is such a beautiful image. I could really picture the scene of the boat leaving the shoreline under the night sky and I could heart the crickets chirping as I was reading. An excellent piece.

"Across a lake full of sky" This is an exceptional haiku for the contest Gyspy. Sorry I'm out of sixes. This should do well I think!
Take care

Wow, there's something beautifully ominous about an empty boat, especially at night. I love that a story can be told in such few words. You are a master at this.
God bless,
Steve

Lovely poem for the lovely picture! You added to the serenity of going with the flow with the vision of the stars reflected in the water and the sounds of the crickets.

There's that humour again as you personify the crickets chirping goodbye as the boat sails off across that sky reflecting lake! So much said in so little in your charming haiku, making me smile. Well done, Gypsy. Take care Debbie

sailing across a lake full of sky as the crickets say goodbye
totally cool image and smooth flow (and rhyme!)
i liked how you put the top half of the pic on the bottom, too
but may i ask why you didn't split the pic in half with the sky on top and the boat under the poem? eh... just curious lol
it's cool though!! looks very reflective.
thank you for sharing!

This is very well worded and beautifully presented. I enjoyed it very much. It reads very well when it is. Read it loud. I wish you a wonderful weekend and may God bless you and keep you safe. Patricia.
