This was such a delightful story about a three year old. I love that Jeremiah is being taught about the Bible and that he loves books. This reminds me of my own little great grandchildren.

Haha! I love this story and dear Jeremiah 'reading' from his own book of the Bible. Well, he may not actually be reading yet but my guess is this young man has a very healthy imagination and will soon be creating his very own guide to morality and etiquette. Don't you just love 'em! Thanks for making me laugh, Wendy:)) Take care Debbie

Yes, his own guide to morality and etiquette. I like that idea! He's quite a character. Glad you had a laugh at this one. Thank you for the review.

This was sweet and very amusing, Wendy. You gotta love the innocence of kids and the humor they bring to the world. Perhaps his kid version of the Bible, in the section on the 10 commandments, said "Do not..." instead of the more archaic "Thou shalt not." I could see how this then morphed into donut. Whatever the reason, it was cute and funny.
I've heard the Lord's prayer similarly butchered by a small child who read the line "and lead us not into temptation" as "and lead us not into Penn Station."

This one is overflowing with cuteness and possible doughnuts, too. Little Jeremiah appears to have navigated the classroom, Miss Bianca, and the Bible quite well for being so young. He knows "Though shall not steal" and reminds us all - Donut touch the doughnuts. Loved the humor!

"Donut Touch". How clever and well written.
I don't understand the attribution of "Donut Touch" to Seb Davey and Alex Willmore in your notes. Did they make the photo?
Best wishes.

That was a preschool book (Donut Touch = Do not touch!) which they wrote together about how an alligator didn't want to share his special treats (doughnuts), but had to learn to share. The teacher read it to the preschool children, but Jeremiah (my grandson) missed the point about sharing, and wanted to use the authority of Jesus and the Bible to warn people off taking HIS doughnuts.
The photo is mine. Sorry that the story wasn't clear. I might have to have another look at it. Thank you so much, though, for the review.

Wendy, you don't say, is this one of your grandchildren?
I don't know that I've ever read every word of the Bible, but I don't believe that donuts are mentioned. Cute story.
I received your book in the mail yesterday. Now I need to write a review on Amazon, which I will do this weekend.
Take care,
xo

This is my seventh (and last) grandchild, whose name is Jeremiah. No, doughnuts are not mentioned in the Bible, but he was using the Bible to add authority to his desire that no one touches his doughnuts, his favourite treat. At preschool the teacher read a story "Donut Touch" (= DO NOT TOUCH) about an alligator who had to learn to share. So he was combining a story from preschool with the Bible, trying to make sure HIS doughnuts were safe. Totally missing the point about sharing. And of course Jeremiah in the Bible was centuries before Jesus! So that was mixed up as well.
I am glad you have safely received my book, and thank you for writing a review. That is so lovely of you, and I will look forward to reading your review in due course.

I think Jeremiah will have his own interpretation of many things going forward, lol:-)

That's hilarious! My, Jeremiah is three already? I remember when he was born! And now he's three and reading. He sounds absolutely adorable. It's true that what we read will color our other reading and understanding!

Yes, time has flown past. He's a real little boy now. Full of fun and sometimes mischief. But he obviously respects the authority of the Bible and of Jesus! Lol. Thanks so much for reviewing.

Thanks so much, Dolly. Well, he has the authority of the BIBLE and the words of Jesus Himself about not touching his doughnuts! Lol.
I appreciate your review.

Cute boy, and smart of the parents to guide him on the path. Not enough children are being led to believe n anything more than he State everywhere, overlooking the blessing that surround them in the here and now.

Thank you Tom for reviewing. Any reason for just four stars, or any suggestions for improvement?

4 stars? The mechanism within the program slid that in on us I suppose. I'll see if I can fix it.

I did amend it

Hank you Tom. I appreciate that.

What a sweetie. It's good that kid's reading the Bible is written in language they can understand. And he definitely has a mind that is creative but still sticks to the plot. No, haven't seen any donuts in my Bible readings. In those days they made dhurra cakes, dried meat and fruit. The Book of John had no Hungry Jacks in it. :-) K xx
