This is an excellently written poem of grief, expressing clearly and succinctly some important truths of death and grief and friends through the processes. Hugs, Verna

Hey there Dolly. I hope you are enjoying a lovely day! Your poem to Norman on the loss of his wife, Yvonne, is beautiful and flows effortlessly. I know it will be a great comfort to him. I know you have endured a similar loss and that your words come from your heart. Well written!!

We are never promised tomorrow. Thank you for sharing this comforting poem for Nomi with us. I know our prayers have God wrapping His arms around Nomi and his family.

This is a very sympathetic-minded poem.
My favorite lines are:
The end will come for all of us,
we lend a helping hand,
as sometimes life can be unjust,
Other strong lines:
know that sorrow is a thief,
as loss can steal our sleep.

You are to be commended for your tender words to one who is under a tremendous trial now. For all of us who have undergone such a grief, it is good to know and feel your understanding heart.

This is a beautiful poem for Nomi and should comfort him tremendously
knowing that you and others on site are thinking of him.
Each beautifully crafted stanza touches on feelings Nomi may be experiencing and will surely help mend his heart.

A very nice tribute for Nolan's wife, Christine. Well written by someone who knows the pain of losing a spouse. Those are always poems that I hate to write, but I have written quite a few.

This is so sweet and relatable. I've not written a condolence post on this site before, not least because it's so difficult to judge how much to say or not say, especially when we haven't actually met in person. Grief, as you express, is individual and we can only speak from our own experience of losing a loved one which may well be very different. But I'm sure it can change priorities as much, for example, as the loss of good health. We grow through pain. Thanks for sharing, Dolly. Love Debbie xx

Thank you Debbie for your review, it is difficult writing this kind of poetry for someone we have never met and don't really know, but we all feel grief albeit in different ways, and it is hard to deal with, so we can empathise, I appreciate your comments, love Dolly x

As you stated, life is all too short and unpredictable. I don't think there is a person on earth who hasn't experienced a loss but each grieves differently. This was a lovely poem that offered friendship in a time of need. Beautiful. Gretchen

Thank you Gretchen for your review, I wrote this poem from the perspective of all who are grieving and as you say we all grieve differently and it is difficult to write a personal poem about someone you have never even met, but I think we all feel deep sorrow when we are grieving even if we don't outwardly show it.
