What a delightful gift to Teri7 that she can give to her son to let him know how much she thought of him. You have included lots of fun background information in this birthday poem. It is amazing how you can take events of a person's life and formulate easy flowing rhymes. You are our "Poetic Birthday Queen."

Wow. You did it again with this loving poem for the wonderful son of Teri. I like this idea. So she could give this poem to her son as a present to represent all of us here at Fanstory.
The YouTube videos are just another bonus.
Excellent.

Lisa, you are a doll. Thank you so very much for this awesome review and for the six stars that are such an honor. You are so sweet and I know Teri is really liking the personalized poems first for husband, Tom and now for her son. I am honored to do them. So thank you again. Lotsa love from our cool state. I am sure you are cooler than us. Take care! Love, Debi

A two-for-one special from the birthday poetess extraordinaire! BTW welcome to the "near rhyme" club ~ I do it often and unapologetically!
This may be a first to a man and his dog... (There are no limits on your creativity!) What fun!
I don't know how you do it, all those rhymes and meter __ but you sure do spread smiles around here!
(And God Bless our dear Nomi--what a tragic loss! He's in my prayers already)

Thanks for the info about near rhymes as many are saying the same thing. Wow, who knew? Not me. Thanks for all your kind words, Sweetie.
Love and hugs. Debi

Emily Dickinson was the queen of near rhymes, or slant rhymes. If anyone questions you mention that she was published a handful of times in her lifetime...and then thanks to her sister, Lavinia persisting...she was "discovered" as a master poetess posthumously!
(YOU don't have to wait until then--smile)

Hello sis. This is a morning when I need some cheering up. On Wednesday morning I woke up and found that my wife of 51 years had died in her sleep. This was just 2 days after we celebrated our 51st anniversary. Today I am totally broken. She has been my best friend for all of those years, and now I do not know what I am going to do without her. I hate to rain on the beautiful pome you just penned and I apologize for bringing you down with this sad news. I just felt that with you, my little sister I had to share this. Sorry.

Oh Nomi, my sweet Nomi, I am in shock. I want to reach out and help you somehow. Oh sweetheart, what can I do for you? I wanted to grab my phone and call and realize that I can't. I feel so helpless my dear brother. Please tell me what I can do for you. Have you written to tell the FS family about this or do you want me to? My heart is breaking for you so badly right now and I am crying so hard because I know how much you love her. What happened?
-
Thank you for your heartfelt sympathy.
We had a routine, on Wednesdays she would retire to our bedroom around 8 pm to watch her favorite TV shows. I would come to bed around 10 pm. as I got into bed I did not notice anything out of the ordinary so I went to sleep. When I woke up on Thursday morning I tried to engage her and got no response. After failing to get a response after three tries I noticed no change in her position or facial expression. I summonned my girls to check her out and after a few minutes they said with tears streaming down their faces, "Dad, you better call 911." You have my permission to notify the FanStory family. I will be making an official statement in a few days after I have recovered from the biggest shock of my life.
-
Oh Sweetie, I can hardly stand it as my heart aches for you so bad. I will write a short poem to tell others. But if you want I will just give a few of the details you gave me. I am so so so sorry.
My dear Heavenly Father, please watch over our friend Nolan and give him some comfort from this pain he is going through for the loss of his wife of 51 years. Please guard his heart and hold him in Your Loving Arms and may he find peace some day in knowing they will be together again some day.

(It wasn't supposed to send yet). In Jesus name, Amen
I will write a poem asking for prayers with a sweet verse for you and her. I just can't remember her name right now. Can you help me out?
God bless you, my dear one.
-
Dearest Nomi, I am in the middle of writing your poem and will release it as soon as it is done. I just wish there was more I could do for you.
Love, Debi
-
Would it be ok to have a book started for you?
-
That would be a wonderful gesture. Thank you.
-
Her name was and will ever be Yvonne.
-
Thank you on both accounts. I am so happy that you are ok with your poem and I started a book for you., I hate to do that without permission. All that matters right now is you and your family and for you to know that you have another family here who loves you. Right now that isn't as important as you are dealing with so much. I am so happy to hear you are getting lots of love and hugs. I can't even write this without crying, I care so much. But the love of your own is so big. Just know that we are here in between.
Also the book and chapter will show up on my poem and others will come now that I started it. So bless you.
Take care of yourself big brother and know I your little sis loves you. Love, Debi

Nomi, I am going to send the link for your tribute poem for Yvonne to your email. Is it still the same as it was?

There's nothing wrong with near rhymes Debbi. In fact carefully placed they add to a poem. Shakespeare and others used them extensively. They're also called proximate rhymes.
This is really great poem.for your friends. You must really like writing these and you're so good at it too. To take information and make it into a poem.
Wonderful job!

Thanks so much, Katie for this sweet review for Teri's son, Jonathon. I hope that he liked it. LOL, this was not only the first for a son of one of our family members here, but first ever for a dog. haha.
Also the truth is Katie that before coming here I was kinda lonely as I have a hard time getting around too and dealing with a lot of pain and suffering from my lupus. So the only place I was going was the doctors.
But every morning I always asked God to let me be a blessing to everyone I was in contact with. However, I hardly went anywhere or saw people during covid, so God sent me here and it wasn't long before I did a few just to be nice and people loved learning about others and so many were asking for them. To date I know I have done over 200. I also do them at home. And the feeling of making someone else's day is a nice feeling. How often do we know anyone will remember past tomorrow anything we wrote?
Well this way I know one person will remember what I wrote as they are keeping them, framing them and enjoying forever. At least that is what they tell me.
So on November 1st I will be writing yours. I will contact you about a week before.
I sure appreciated all the kind comments for the poem and the messages for him. Thank you again, dear friend. Love, Debi

I'm glad you feel like you have a family here Debbi. I'm sorry about your Lupus. O know it can be debilitating.
I'm glad you do these poems for people. You are indeed a blessing here and I always enjoy your work.
Take care,
