The mother has a more hopeful attitude than most people and she has done a good job of teaching it to her children. People who let themselves sink into despair can't see that good can come, and they make life harder for themselves.

Hello, Carol!
I've been in those dark places many times, but by the Grace of ur Lord, I have survived and found many more blessings awaiting me. Even in a dark cloud, we can find a ray of sunshine, a shimmer of light, if only we have faith.

I absolutely love the positive tone and message of this story. Sylvia expressed some things I firmly believe in. Since I joined FanStory, my health has rapidly deteriorated to the point of hospitalization this past May, and the current need for a walker. I rarely mention such things because the sun will come out (especially after the rainy season here in Florida) haha!
We all have dark and gloomy days, but we also have blessings which we should focus on. I love happy endings, even when the story is sad.

Florida... the place to be. Sit by the ocean and let the sound of the waves bring peace. My favorite spot! I'm sorry to know that your health is not good. I will pray that you find better days ahead.
I think finding new friends, improving relationships with old ones, and being able to write has been my blessing this year. Regardless of the doom and gloom that hangs around, I've been able to smile and know how lucky I am.

I remember that old saying quite well. I admit I have repeated to myself over and over in my darkest days. This year, since returning to FanStory, I have felt the blessing of friendship and know positivity is here within my stories and from my friends. Thank you for the virtual six...it glitters so brightly.

I have to admit, while I believe in the promise of a better tomorrow, I do not think I would have been in tune with that as I watched my house burning...
Still, it's the right message and rewarding to read that people have this faith even while the walk through the darkest times!

I probably stretched the positive vibes a bit with the burning house, but I had the picture and then the idea to write.
Sometimes, it takes awhile for the good vibes to settle in but luckily for me... with all the tragedies...I have survived and can still smile again.
I don't think I was trying to say that everything's a party...I was mainly just trying to stress that being positive will help you through the rough times. Doesn't stop the b..ching though. LOL

Thanks, Beth...I just wanted to write another feel good story. I know when bad things happen we aren't always high on the positive scale, but if we can work through it and get there, it's a good thing.

Thank you Sandra... I am working away on the next chapter because I know you and others are waiting... we've got Jose on a jet, Donatelli and Garth grilling steaks, Eleanor and Danni hashing over a few things, and Angelo caught inbetween. I don't know which way to turn first!
