The personification of the weeping willow is perfectly done. It's tears, it's falling to the ground, and its rebirth. Very similar to the journey human's often go through. Wonderful job with this poem.

I enjoyed the personification of your weeping willow that represents here the poignancy of loss and emptiness. Then evolving from this, all that is lost from the willow falls to the ground and is reborn, replacing mourning for hope in the form of spring. Beautifully done, Jess, in your Italian sonnet form. Take care Debbie

This is very pretty. I've always found weeping willows inspiring. Your description of grief is touching, and the element of renewal with spring is lovely.

I liked reading this. The willow has always seemed like a symbol of melancholy.
Favorite lines:
For all that falls to earth won't fall in vain,
and also:
Its twigs and leaves descend to softened ground,
and also:
For all that's ever buried merely sleeps,
Nice tone in the manner of classic sonnets.

I enjoyed this. I love your imagery. The willow, with its weeping branches and fallen leaves, was perfect. What better way to show grief and the passage of time. This was so beautiful and very well written.

The Willow is a fitting symbol of death and rebirth from autumn to spring. We humans experience similar grief and sadness at death, but rejoice in the resurrection. A beautiful sonnet that is inspiring.
