Your poem ignited fond memories. My first love and I would sit for hours gazing at the sky watching clouds and trying to figure out what they looked like. It was very relaxing and worked our imagination.

I am an avid cloud watcher. I often see animals in the clouds. Your words show the clouds in action and how they often change. "Origami sky" is a perfect last line to sum up your first two lines.

I think every one remembers laying on the grass or sitting on a hill under a tree staring at the clouds and seeing what images they would make for us. I know even my grandchildren enjoy doing it still with me.

This is a great entry for the Haiku Poetry competition. I, too, used to lie on the grass and watch the clouds, trying to pick out animals or other shapes. I love the description of origami sky. Great presentation!

Actually, I wrote a 3 part story about pairs ice skating in the Cloud Olympics. Click on stories and these are the 3 parts.
I. An Unprecedented Event
II. A Dramatic Event
III. And the Winner Is...
Let me know what you think, but it's not necessary to review. Hope you enjoy them. I can give you poem titles if you want, as well.

That is funny, now that I think of it, that no one else has ever made that comparison. That was perfect. The picture is a wonder as well. Small poems are hard. Much tougher than the bigs ones. very well done. Karen
