Love the picture that you posted.
A great song that many children learn very early in their life.
An easy read full many things I did not know. I thank you for sharing that information.

Very cool information. I had heard that it was composed because the organ was broken but you fleshed out the details in a methodical yet entertaining way. Such a humble song that is now known world wide. Great and informative. Gretchen

It's strange how we all know the song and always assume it must have been composed by one of the greats. It's lovely that it, too, had a humble beginning like Jesus in the manger. Thank you for sharing. It was beautiful.

There's a children's VCR tape out about the history of Silent Night. It's a wonderful movie. We watch it every Christmas. Thank you for sharing.

Curate Josef Mohr was feeling gloomy. The church organ was badly damaged (space needed after the period)

who started searching for the origins of this divine song .By that time (move the period closer to 'song')

OH, I love how you concluded this little history of that famous Christmas hymn! Yes, Jesus, the Creator of all the universe came to our world in such a humble manner. Thank you for the story of the hymn. I love it, too!

There was a film made about the origins of this song. Maybe you have seen it. I can't remember the name of it.

I have added below some proofreading notes. There are enough of them that I have docked one star. If you fix all of them and message me back, I'll be happy to add back a star.

***

gloomy. <= add a space => The church organ was badly damaged.

The image of the mother holding a new born <= no space (newborn is one word)

'Stille Nacht..Heilege Nacht.. <= close the quote, and also make sure when you use an ellipsis that it is three dots, not two.

as Choir and organ master of the church. <= no need to capitalize choir

chorus and guitar and that too in time <= unclear

Rainers, a family of folk singers <= add comma

divine song .By <= fix the period placement

it was Gruber who gave the details of it birth. <= unclear

***

Hope this is helpful, and thank you for the read,

🦍

I enjoyed this story. It was so interesting. I never knew about the origin of the song. I'm just learning to play the piano and I love playing that song. The story is well written.

I did not know this. What a good true life story. This information should be passed around every Christmas season.

This essay, The Story of Silent Night, tells the interesting story about the birth of this celebrated Christmas song away back in 19th century Austria. Born on guitar.
