This is a lovely poem that commemorates the intricacies and idiosyncrasies of the hummingbird. They are so neat and unique in their size and beating of their wings. Our family has several feeding stations that totally engross our grand children.

You are very welcome my friend. I don't hear them very often, but they do have a distinctive little voice and they use it on each other when they want to keep someone away from their food.

When I Lived in Las Cruces, New Mexico. We had a lot of hummingbirds and I always enjoyed sitting on the patio at our home as I would see the hummingbirds come to the feeder and they just enthralled me. I always love to hear stories about hummingbirds and poems about them as well. Patricia.

Thank you, Patricia. I love to watch them, too. My mom loved them so I always feel she's saying hello when I see one. This was the first time I saw one sit still and make noise.

I must confess I've never seen a hummingbird, they don't migrate I think, well, they won't fly 9429 miles to here. But a wonderful life form, that feeds off the nectar of plants. I love this poem dear friend, blessings Roy
