This is very true of us as humans that we are tempted at times to overindulge and food or drink or whatever maybe even a hobby mini different things we can overindulging and find it either we increase our mass or we can decrease our cash when we use it to buy Hobby products. Patric

This is a good contest entry. Good rhyming and some little bits of difference in the formatting. Thanks for sharing and I hope you do well in the contest.

Giving into temptation nourishes the soul!? I haven't heard that one before. Although, I have heard of people going kind of crazy from not eating enough. Rebelling against idyllic scenarios is what people do. Seems to be hired-wired into us. At least it keeps things interesting, right?

Now romantic temptation, if we did not have that, none of us would be here...

Thanks for the read,

SS

This is a well rounded reflection on the whole idea of Temptation - it comes in many guises, as we know, 'a cookie or a shoe sale.' - well done with appropriate language. Love the font !

This poem is full of truth and sage advice. I see no obvious errors or areas that need a lot of improvement. Good job with this poem and happy writing!

Hi

This looks like a good entry for the contest. Good luck with that!!

I think this is very cute and I think a lot of people including me will relate. I keep saying I'm only going to have three Reese's peanut butter cups and then three becomes seven and I'm diabetic so that makes it even worse How stupid can you get, right?

Same thing for Lays potato chips and for Fritos and for apple fritters and so many other things like that

And the funny thing is, I don't really have a sweet tooth normally but the two sugary items I mentioned are an exception as are those tea cookies they always put out at Christmas that have the powdered sugar taste like almond and vanilla. Now I want to get me some more of those. Order them from Amazon.

This temptation is too much for me to resist. I want to thank you for that.

I'm just laughing. I'm not mad at you. I'm just laughing at myself.

I think you very good job and your poem flows pretty well, although it has no set meter

I repeat. It's cute.

I enjoyed reading your poem

Good job. Thank you for sharing.

This is lighthearted and so sweet! True that giving into temptation can be sometimes overdone, like spending too much (save receipts!) haha but giving yourself a treat now and then can liven up a spirit! Maddy

I so enjoyed your playful take on temptation! The way you personified it with a "sneaky grin" was fantastic. The poem was both funny and filled with wisdom. . Your rhymes flow effortlessly. This was an enjoyable read from start to finish. It's a light hearted poem but a good reminder to enjoy life's little pleasures!
