This is a very well written poem for the contest and I wish you the very best in the contest and you have a wonderful weekend and may God bless you as you continue to write for him. Patricia.

I love the Cinquain format and I really like what you did with this one. A beautiful way to express how a solid, long-term relationship has been broken into disrepair. Really nice. Should be in a contest.

Your photo with this cinquain is very striking and makes a good illustration for your words. What I pictured when I read it was pieces of satellites, space junk, or airplane parts dropping out of the sky to land on the unwary. Food for thought! Well done!

That is a perfect cinquain you've written here, Bill, but the words are so sad. To be unrepairably broken, are the words no one wants to hear, but sometimes it is as it is, and nothing you do can repair it. Well done, my friend, and good luck in the contest. How is your wife now? Warmest hugs Sandra xx

Thank you, Sandra. Kathy has one more surgery to move her artery in her arm to facilitate safer dialysis access. Then, we should be off the doctors' radars for a while.

Oh, that's such good news! I'm sure your whole family, and all your friends, (including us) will welcome that day. It's been a long time, hasn't it. Love to you all, my friend. xxx

This was a good cinquain, but just one possible hiccup: Should the line read: "...ARE now unrepairably"? " Sounds like what is happening to our country these days.

Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

This brief poem has so much depth and emotion. It's relatable to anyone who's survived trauma and struggles with their new reality of being changed forever.
