This poem is so sweet and gentle. You write with tenderness and love for the young life of a baby bird. I like the repeating line. It accentuates the meaning of the new life becoming free to fly. I am amazed at your ability to capture the raw nature of the little bird so close to your house.
Your love of nature is compelling.

Thank you Jesse for your great review. This is the first time I got so close to a baby bird. We had three Nests with babies all over the yard. Thank you again.

That is lovely. Baby birds are so tender and sweet. I can almost remember the day I saw a baby bird myself. It was so long ago. I'm glad you got the picture of the bird in the nest.

It's a delight to read a poem about the natural world especially around the time of the rearing of new chicks and their eventual fledging - Nature lifts our spirits.

Brenda, this is such a tender tribute to something you witnessed one day. I like the metaphor implied here: parents often watch their children grow, and then one sad day they leave home, hopefully for a good life ahead.
Excellent poem, Brenda,
Best wishes,
Cindy
