I don't know if this were patterned after particular individual or if this just personifies what occurs to the aging body and mind, but this is another excellent post and you are proving to be a wonderful wordsmith.

Growing old is very difficult to do. We want to remain youthful. I have often said if I had the wisdom, I do now and the body I had in my twenties, I'd have been unstoppable. But that's only a dream. I enjoyed reading and thank you for sharing.

Growing old is sometimes hard, but we must make more of what we have as the years take over. Our eyes are the windows to our soul, and they speak volumes. This was really well written, my friend. Well done. (I'd love to have stayed young!) :)) Sandra xx

I found it again, but it does not say who the actress is
It was just a photo array of the 50 most beautiful actresses from that time.

How sad the actresses of the olden days who were plagued with mindful dispositions and knew not of why their minds held fast to the days when they were famous and rich beyond all means. I don't know the name of the famous actress in the picture but she has been well-known for a long time and since has become an idol of the young who knew not how it felt to be alone with thoughts and feelings of the days of old.

To climb to the top of the heap in life and then find the slippery slope as we slide down hill as we age, some losing grip with reality and what is was is a true hardship. How confusing and lonely the mind can be. Great poem.
