Hooray for Margaret! She finally went through with her obligation to Eleanor and it seems that has lead her to a man she really can trust. It has also taught her compassion and hopefully, she'll make a difference in her town and get her daughter involved in volunteering!
Seems like Danny knows how to deal with Doyle! You're on the home stretch!

Margaret has had an eye opener and possibly her heart as well. Seeing that there are people out there struggling, people you might even know, made a change in Margaret.

Garth certainly enjoyed his meeting with Eleanor and is determined to take down her killer and the art thefts. Danny sets his plan in motion to take down Doyle. Eleanor is getting better service than is she was alive. The pace is picking up as the story nears the end, as long as Megan isn't forgotten.

I guarantee you Megan is not forgotten. As for Eleanor, I think she finally realized how much she missed by locking herself away with her paintings and not reaching out to her family.

BOO is reading...oh, a group of thieves stole Charles Weldon's paintings and it's under investigation? Reading..."I'll take another and one for the lady, too."

The waitress looked at Garth, then behind her and around, not seeing anyone. She rolled her eyes and nodded. "Yes, sir, two cold beers coming up." She turned to leave, then asked, "Are you feeling okay? Maybe you should get some sleep." BOO got a chuckle out of that! A beer for the ghost. The detective and Danny Veraci will be joining forces to bring down Judge Doyle." I hate crooked judges! In a low voice, Doyle spoke. "I've had a moment to reconsider your phone call, Mr. Veraci. Maybe I was too hasty. Perhaps we should meet and discuss this matter further." Money or doubloon always talks! Maybe the detective will nail This story has grip and detailed. I got no suggestions, it's your book. Seems well written including the dialogue.

BOO!

Hi, Carol

Your chapters are always so well written that I hardly ever find any mistakes in them. I think you are to be commended for that because you've written a lot a lot a lot of pages and they're perfect.

I wonder if Doyle will get his comeuppance in the next chapter

Probably not since authors like to move around from character to character. Surprised you haven't included Megan in your last few chapters You can hint about where she is and her condition where she is.without giving away the kidnappers

I don't know why Eleanor can't visit Megan. Maybe she could scare the bejesus out of the kidnappers.

It sounds like Danny is still in love with Eleanor and Jack is in love with Margaret, who may return his favors

I can't tell if Jack is homeless now or if he's just working for the soup kitchen He's getting paid maybe. Or maybe he doesn't get paid maybe he gets everything he needs there including a place to sleep.

I look forward to the next chapter you're a good writer and this is a very interesting story

I enjoyed reading your book chapter

Good job. Thank you for sharing.

There's a lot of action going down right now. Eleanor is doing her best to stay on top of it all. She definitely hasn't forgotten about Megan but she needs to help catch Doyle too.
thanks for all your commets and thoughts about the story. I truly appreciate all of it.

I got another gift from the aftermath of the tornado...while clearing things, I managed to play kissy face with poison ivy. My eyes are swollen and my entire face itches. Fun!

I thought it was funny that Eleanor thought abour flirting with Garth. She made him look a bit foolish when he order a beer for a lady who didn't seem to there. It sounds like palnt to take down Doyle are starting to fall into place. You're doing good to to get this story back up and running so quickly after your power outage.

I liked the introduction of Eleanor to Garth. It fit. I see the trap is laid. I hope we catch a judge.

Eleanor smiled, "Good night, Garth." She faded away.
(smiled.)

recognized the judge's voice when he answered.

"Doyle." (answered, & and move "Doyle." closer)

Danny's voice was smooth and controlled. "I heard through t (controlled,)

Danny leaned back in his chair, speaking very calmly. "Too bad. (calmly,)

thanks, Barbara. I didn't think Garth would be the type to accept her immediately so I needed to warm him up to the idea. I hope that came across okay. And thanks for catching the rest of my oops... I'm exhausted for writing four chapters in two days. I think I can slow down a little now...MAYBE.
