This is left open for the reader to speculate what this might mean: "Y'know, for all the things I was going to do in my lifetime and never did, let's do something crazy and fun for that day." This is unreal. What a great plan and even some surprises for you. The last paragraph was amusing. Good work.

You are so sweet, Liz. Yeah, I was talking about the plans to go on a cruise, travel to Europe, and a few other things and I didn't mention them as we all have things we missed out on. But I am glad you liked the last paragraph. Thanks so much for saying so.
Thanks for the lovely review and all the very kind comments.
So appreciated, my friend. Love, Debi

Have you ever been on a cruise? My partner Maureen and I when I'm on one. my gosh it was so wonderful I couldn't believe how blue the water was. Around here we do not have anything called blue water. Everything is either kind of dark black or dark brown, some green. When I see the sky now that color I think to myself, Oh my gosh the ocean is that blue, We had a wonderful time. We went in on some little shuttle to go to other islands and we're in the Caribbeans so all those different islands. We went through quite a few of them and went on their land and a little tour around but one thing that they were showing was stuff from a many years ago from a hurricane. It just did never been fixed up and then recently I thinking last year or so they had more hurricanes so I just wonder what kind of land there is left and that place.

No, I haven't because I have been crippled from my lupus for so long. My sister and even my daughters go on many but I am not strong enough. Thank goodness I will be going on one of MN's biggest most beautiful lakes with my family on Saturday for a week. We do it once a year and it is wonderful. We do have many lovely lakes in our state.
-
I'm happy for you and I hope that water is beautifully blue.
-
Im going to send you a link for a pretty short poem I wrote about the place by your email. So check that. Please don't feel the need to review. It is just to show you and you can read about it if you'd like.
-
I couldn't find your email so I sent it to on your messenger account
-
I'd rather go on one of your cruises with you.😢
-
I'm too old to do anything. Just thinking about getting on a plane or getting on a train or getting on a boat tires me out. I've done all the traveling and the touring I'm ever going to do. You're a little trip on a lake sounds perfect.

Your anniversary story is absolutely heartwarming! The way you and Glen decided to celebrate your 50th with a limo ride was such a fun and memorable idea. I loved how you captured the excitement and joy of the day, from the surprise red carpet to the cheers from the crowd.
It's great to hear how Corey, or James as you fondly called him, went above and beyond to make your celebration special. Your humor and genuine enjoyment come through clearly, making it a delightful read. The comparison to Oscar Night and the reflection on your fifty years together add a touching, personal touch that really resonates. Thanks for sharing such a joyful and meaningful experience!

Hi Carol, and yes, I would recommend James, I mean Corey to anyone. LOL. I am not sure if anyone caught why I kept calling him James. It was because in all the movies they are called James. What stand out to me is this saying: Home, James. LOL
Thanks for the lovely review and the very kind comments. So appreciated, my friend. Love, Debi

How wonderful! I chuckled at your historic moment of adding shredded cheese to your meatloaf!
What a blessing to celebrate like celebrities. Lots get married and feel special on their wedding day but the 50th anniversary is extra special!

Oh boy, did you have fun that day, Debi! Limo, red carpet and champagne! And you hadn't even started. No wonder you felt like celebrities. You structured the story so well throughout to expand on the day but the clincher for me were the last 3 paragraphs in which you compare yourself to Hollywood stars but with a difference - you'd had 50 years to rehearse! Congrats again on that Marital Academy Award:) Debbie xo

You know Debbie, I think you are the only review I have answered today because you are always so wonderfully detailed and sweet. You are the only one that mentioned about my ending.. yet, I am not complaining, as they have all been lovely reviews.
Thank you so very much for all the kind comments and the generous six stars too, dear friend. You and they mean the world to me. Love, Debi

Dear Glen and Debi, I, along with all of FanStory are so pleased to continue to celebrate your incredible accomplishment of 50 years of mutual love and commitment. What a beautiful picture, and it was cool that James, I mean Corey, provided an iconic symbol of royalty: "The Red Carpet". Long Live Your Congratulations!

Awe, thanks for this Dan. You are so sweet.... for a little brother. Haha..
Just wondering if you got the reason why I called him James? Because it seems they are always called James in the movies. Y'know? Home, James!

This is a beautiful story. It made me smile with every word, as I imagined the red carpet and how you must have felt as you entered the restaurants. Fifty years is a long time and should be celebrated big time by any couples whom God blessed to stay married for that length of time. This is a feel-good story. Thank you for sharing.

That sounds absolutely awesome. I've never been in a limo. When I was growing up, the best I could hope for was a clean Ford or a Chevy. Lol. That is a fabulous feat, though. The years not the limo. It sounds like it was fun. Gretchen

Gretchen, you know I had never been in a limo either so it felt weird being on the road and able to drink champagne in the car. LOL, and it was cool and we have memories to last what is left of our lifetime. Anyway, I figured if the kids can do it for prom, why not? Haha.
Thank you so very much for all the kind comments, my dear friend.

I really enjoyed your retelling of your special day with friends. I'm glad you got to enjoy the red-carpet experience. Congratulations on 50 years together. God has blessed your marriage. For our 50th we went on a trip to Greece-but with no red carpet! Hugs, Verna

LOL, Verna, my husband got by easy by doing a limo instead of taking me to Greece. But that was the stuff that I was talking about. All the things I thought I would do but now too crippled to do much. So this was fun.
And I would recommend that to anyone who had a special celebration.
It was so much fun and we will remember it all the rest of our days.
Thanks for the lovely review and the very kind comments. So appreciated, my friend. Love, Debi
