Well, :let's hope Jonathon manages to stay away from the gambling, and gets his life together. Now Eleanor needs to sort Nick out, what a scumbag he is! And then she need to go after Judge Slimeball!!!
I wonder if she will go and see Charles before she leaves this world. That would be romantic. :)) You're doing a wonderful job with this story, my friend. Loving it! :)) Sandra xxxx

Eleanor seems to be having a good effect on her brother if his word can be believed, but he is in a dangerous situation and could easily blow his million dollars on gambling. Margaret learns there is a price to get her daughter back, but Nick has already disposed of her and just wants the money. Jenna gets to share some of Eleanor's life through her WWII letters.
The tension builds again until easing off with Jenna enjoying Eleanor's letters.

Jenna has much to learn from the letters and dylan is still on the search for his uncle's paintings. I think it will come together soon.

Hooray - now a relationship is healed and Jonathon is pulled out from addiction. I hope he really means it when he says he won't gamble anymore. What a great idea to set up a halfway house for gamblers.
I met one and he was a brilliant man and yet he was helpless when it came to gambling.
Hope Jenna will mean with Dylan again soon now that she knows how Eleanor's relationship with Charles began.

Hello Iza...Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. We had a tornado and lost all our power for five days. All is good and I am trying to get caught up. Thanks@

An excellent chapter, showing snippets from various threads of this complex but fascinating book. Nick has been very clever and sees himself in a good position, but it will fall apart, as the judge will find a way to deal with him. Lovely that Jenna can read Eleanor's letters, as it will give insight into the previous life and love of Eleanor. And I think she will get together with Dylan. Well written. I am enjoying ths a lot.

Thanks Wendy...I think the letters will definitely mean a lot to Jenna. She'll be able to understand and see a lot of Eleanor that she didn't know.

Hopefully I don't read any posts out of order since I caught this one. So, Nick is in on the kidnapping. I knew the Judge was. Good post.
Listen, lady, you look like my sister, but you can't be. She's dead. And I refuse to believe I am talking to a ghost." He slammed the drink and signaled for another one.
"You won't escape your problems with that stuff." (Two dialogues in one paragraph. You need a space.
