Someone recently told me there are "water" people and "mountain" people.
I'm not sure if that's true, but I'd align myself with the water folks. Whatever stress I have seems to dissipate as soon as I am near a lake, river, stream, or the ocean. Your final stanza is impeccable. It is exactly how I feel!

What a beautiful thing to be "immersed in nature's lullaby"! Beautiful rhyming poem! And I agree that there's something soothing about being by the water. Best wishes in the contest!

I loved the sentiment of appreciation in this poem Jodi as I heard the water hurry by with a powerful roar. When we see nature like this it grounds us as we realise we humans do not control everything in life, nature has the last word. Fine metre and rhymes, a joy to read this talented post from our pen, love Dolly x
