Lovely and so musical! I could definitely sing this one. I like the way your story evolves from being very child-like and stubborn to appreciating that there are others in the world, namely parents, who deserve to be considered. Nicely done, Verna! Good luck! Debbie

For some reason, I was singing this to "Mary Had a Little Lamb" in my head. This poem was delightful! I think this would charm children. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Thank you, Jessi, for a delightful review. This is a common children's rhythm. Try, "Merrily We Roll Along" or "London Bridges falling Down."

I think this is perfect for young children! (I sang it to the tune of London Bridge is Falling Down)--
It's full of fun and allows kiddos to "vent" in a healthy way...AND reinforces good behavior!
"So I will try to be real good,
Be real good,
Be real good,
I will try to be real good
Because I know I should."
I should probably be singing this song myself...

Thanks for the review and making me smile this morning. This is a common rhythm for children's song. Try "Mary Had a Little Lamb" and "Merrily We Roll Along."

Okay then. Here I was, going back and singing out loud to the tune of "Mary Had a Little Lamb" -- thank the Lord my laptop doesn't have ears...I wouldn't want to hurt them! LOL...

An excellent entry for the Poem For a Child contest. This is such a cute poem/song for children. I could see this being used in a Daycare or other learning center for small children. Nicely done. Good luck in the contest.

So cute! At first, I worried that this child-narrator was having a fit and being a handful. But by the end, you help us adults realize that the child is really good-hearted but just being a child. Great children's poem! Best wishes in the contest!

This is a delightful. I do not want to song. I enjoyed listening to it very much and it's a very nice poem for children to read. I do not want to quit writing this review, but I kind of run out of things to say. Patricia.

I really like the song pattern, and it's easy to grasp -- I can sing it as I read it. The rhyming is also good. Idk if the picture just doesn't suit me, but it kind of looks blurry and strange, although you can still tell that it's a kid jumping. It might look cool if you change the background color to yellow, or maybe even orange with the text bolded, and then it could match the picture. One of your blank lines between stanzas also has some periods on it (.....), which looks like it was done on accident.

Thank you for your great review and suggestions. I don't have problems with the creative aspect, but I'm lost with the technical. I had used the periods for a change of view. Sorry they were confusing.

That makes more sense now knowing that and going back to look at it again.

Verna, This is a very good and cute poem/song for a child. You used very good words that hopefully a child would learn from. Great artwork you chose to go with your words. Best wishes in the contest. Teri
