This is worth way more than the stars I own. Thank you for your honesty which must have been terribly difficult. I accepted Christ shortly after beginning college but went down many paths I hope others never fall prey to. Thank God, He continues to forgive, strengthen sand led us.

I love learning about the faith moment of others and yours is exceptionally inspiring. I, too, went forward at age twelve while everyone was singing Just As I Am. However, it was many decades later before I fully understood the part about surrendering. That was when, at age 50, I started attending Bible College and eventually received a Masters in Guidance and Counseling.
My daily Bible verse for this morning is:
Romans 8:38-39 -- "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord".
How very appropriate!

This a beautiful story, and I like your telling it in such natural, straightforward manner. I can't help but think how different things are now. I doubt that the Army would have cast you aside like they did you when it turned out you were pregnant. Also, you didn't seem to be aware of some of the basics of sex, not knowing what an abortion was. You were not to blame for what happened to you. You realized there was hope ahead for you and moved on to a wonderful life. Excellent work. Use quotation marks around song title. Last stanza, follow should be followed before Him. Best of luck. judi
