I don't know if you ever saw the birth of the Merry~go~Rhyme that tells how it started with Sally's Circus poems and I had to venture out. It is a lot of fun and explains how they got started. Love, Debi

Don't tell me I missed my beloved friend's birthday!!!!!!! I DO think I greeted her on Facebook, but I can't remember! I should have written a poem for her too!!!!!!

What a sweet lady you've written a poem for. Teri is such a sweetheart. I love what you've found out and are able to share with us. She's had such a full life with work, volunteering at church, raising children and grandchildren. Add to that she's a talented writer and reviewer.

I enjoyed this poem so much. First of this style that I've read and reviewed on. I'm a novice and a learner new enough to the platform so I love seeing new styles of poems I would have never even know existed. The flow and the story and the preciseness is impressive, well done a wonderful tribute poem.

Thanks so much, my sweet friend. I have come to love doing these more than any other poetry I do. I love the idea of making someone else smile. It has purpose and meaning in their lives and in mine. It's such a rewarding feeling and I now know that is what God wanted me to do when I told Him to let me be a blessing to others.

However, they are very time consuming and difficult with some of the info that is given to me. To get them into meter, rhyme, make sense and in the correct stanza is very challenging. All worth it when you feel the appreciation from the birthday person.

You know, I am surprised that I have found that the guys really seem to like them and that means a lot to me. Hmmmm, when is Ed's birthday? LOL

Smile. The people who want these poems are being gifted the most personal and loving gift you can offer.

It doesn't surprise me that the "guys" enjoy a spotlight on them!

Your "reward" for this effort goes way beyond any stars, and I know how personally you take the responsibility to showcase each person with the greatest skill!

The key is that you invite people to let you know if they would like a birthday poem.

This honors the privacy of those who may have "stage fright" or do not wish to share more than they do through their posts or comments.

Obviously, you have a TON of "takers" and you'll be busy writing every month for a lot of members!

I don't know how you keep up with it.

Thanks K, and I have a few lined up but not anything like I had last year before everyone had one. Now I had Teri ask, and Lorraine just came to me and asked for a light hearted one for her birthday this year. Besides that I have quite a few set up for the later birthdays. But unless it is someone I am feeling really close to I will not be offering anymore. That is why I just started putting that in my notes a while ago. I think a few thought I was just going to do them again. That is why I loved that Teri asked because she had one last year. I just want others to know they are welcome but they need to ask me. Except for a few of those like you and Sally who I just will until you tell me not to. LOL
