I had to wait a whole day to get to give this a well deserved six! Thanks for letting us know of this little known hero who helped many escape Nazi Germany. I'm glad that he's recognized among the "righteous among the nations." There is a tree for each of these heroes in Yad vShem in Israel.

Very interesting story about a man I had never heard of, which seems hard to believe due to his great accomplishments during the Holocaust. It is the people we don't hear about that were the true saints. They worked for the good and not the recognition. Thanks for sharing.

You did a tremendous job with this, yourself, with your post. But then, you put whipped cream and the perfect cherry on top with this heart-wrenching video.
A friend of mine who's now ninety-three has lunch with me every Friday at our favorite Jewish deli, and she says what we're seeing today here in this country frightens her in the same way the Holocaust did. She's "seen it all," but she says this is the worst it's ever been. What a terrifying thought.
Hopefully, there are lots and lots of Schindlers and Feng Shang-ho's still around.

I pray The Lord will send such individuals to their aid. I do know that anyone that curses Israel will receive a curse, and I believe their entire country will be restored to them.

Sadly, here in America, we run the risk of seeing something similar taking place. We have a group of supposedly sane citizens following a man who clearly lacks any morals at all. This man has stated that if elected he will become a dictator for a short time. Just long enough to get even with all who are in opposition to his success. The only way his rule will be short is if his rule is ended by a well aimed bullet. Now I do not advocate his murder, but if he is able to succeed, a bullet or two is unavoidable.

There are so many unknown individuals who saw the horror of the atrocities and did what they could at the peril of lives and losing all else they had to give aid to God's People.

I firmly believe there are more good people in the world than bad, although the current state of our nation has me wondering.
