I couldn't help but smile and laugh at this writing prompt entry. The alliteration was wonderful and of course, I had to attempt to read it out loud. I had a lot of fun with this. I hope you did writing it.

I don't know how you do it but this is an excellent fulfilment of the prompt. Your story is readable and, bar a few bumps along the way (put down to the storm:)), is all pretty fluent. It's also well-structured with an excellent ending and impressive imagery: Storm shadows.... Well done and good luck! Debbie

wow! I am just blown away by your ability to take this writing prompt, with its advanced difficulty, and not only do the challenge but do it in complete story form with paragraphs and dialogue! Very well done! Good luck in the contest.

This was definitely one of the better "stuck on one letter" entries I've read. It actually made sense! Also, you can't go wrong with sushi. LOL. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Excellent work! You have a captivating story here with several characters you managed to develop with just the letter S. Good luck in the contest. Have a great day!

This story, Seven Sane Sailors, written entirely with S-words, tells an amazing tale of the ship of seamen encountering and dismembering an apparently delicious sea monster. I guess the word got around and now sea serpents are rare. Owe you a six.

Hello Anon,
This has 'winner' written all over it. This is an excellent response to the brief. It is a comprehensive story despite the limitations of vocabulary.
(Although I think 'scoffed' rather than 'scarfed'?)
As I say, this one should do it - but whether it does or not, I think this is a great effort. Well done.
cheers

Ah Jessica. I am so pleased to fidn out that it was you! Well done.
I did a similar exercise some years back (Short Story "S") and I really do appreciate how focused you need to stay to make it work as a story.
Again, well done...I am pleased you were recognised in the contest.
    cheers
