Well done! You drew believable characters and created a setting and situation with very economical use of words. The ending was surprising and funny. It was easy to picture this situation and enjoy this story!

Well this was a fun and entertaining story. I was eager for Trixie to be saved and was delighted when she was but what a laugh that your aunt fell instead. I can just imagine alright the hoot you all have telling that story and told it so well. Well done, thanks for sharing!

Thank you for sharing this writing prompt entry with us. I enjoyed reading. It's a cute story. I strongly suggest you review the rules for writing dialogue.
kay, when writing dialogue each person speaking gets their very own paragraph. Also in dialogue people speak in contractions, example, She'll)
at the top of her voice yelled
"Come on Trixie, keep going, we are waiting. Come on." (yelled,)
and soon instructed
"Okay, let's all move a bit to the starboard and take her into the boat on the port side. (instructed,)

Nicely done, Barry! Poor old Auntie! I love that twist at the end, inserted so casually: "One problem. Auntie was out." I defy anyone not to have a smile on their face by the end of this well structured and humorous story! Good luck, Barry! Debbie

Aww, bless her heart, I'm glad your auntie insisted on them stopping. That dog managed to get to the boat, and auntie was soon to swap places with Trixie! So funny. I really enjoyed your true story, it is a fun memory. Good luck in the contest. Warm hugs, Sandra xx

Man Overboard! Or to be accurate - Auntie's Overboard. Rescue was accomplished but not exactly as planned. Very cute and enjoyable to read. Thank you for sharing.

Hi
This looks like a good entry for the contest. Good luck with that!!
Yeah. That is pretty funny. The question that comes to mind for me is how old auntie was. But I can see that happening. She bends down to get the dog and just keeps going. But, at least she was a good sport about it
I enjoyed reading your story
Good job. Thank you for sharing.

An excellent story, filled with humour. I can understand your aunt's concern - and I had a feeling that she might come to need the towel herself. Well written. Good wishes for your entry.
