the seventh inning stretch it took a left turn into a satirical slant...Completely catching this reader off guard, like those wayward throws from the wild pitcher. It is definitely free verse. Good luck in the

I like it! You use alliteration, internal rhymes and different grammatical forms of the same word. But I especially liked " race the baseball home." I'm watching a lot of baseball games lately as two of my grandkids play. Best wishes in the contest!
