What a great surprise, I fanned both of you a while back and your book Detour is back to back in my message in-box. Now, Gretchen's chapter makes more sense.
I love your fabulous new book, 'Detour'. You are both excellent writers and the idea of writing the same book from two different points of view is very interesting and unique. I can't wait to read what happens next. I'm sorry I'm out of sixes.

Your warm and encouraging review is more than fabulous from where I'm sitting. I appreciate it.
Yes, the way we're setting it up, you should always read Gretchen's chapter first. We're posting late Saturday this week because I'm going out of town starting Sunday.
Thanks for being our fan, Gypsy. xoxox

"the International FanStory Conference in Atlantic City, NJ," Wait, there's such a conference? Is it an annual event?
"I picked up my 2024 Mercedes S-Class sedan," Oh, excuse me, your hoity-toity highness.
"It even has massaging fingers for your back, neck and shoulders" Geez, is there a gold toilet in it, as well?
"I smile broadly" But could she see you smiling? Was this over some facetime app?
Maybe Gretchen should be nicknamed: 'retching Gretchen'.
"my form-fitting leopard dress, 3-1/2" high heels and broad-brimmed black-and-leopard hat." Rrrrrr, move over Cindy Crawford.
Hey, God bless them Amish folk.
Hope y'all made it to the conference and back in one piece.

Oooh! Snarky Pants 2 - the Sequel!!
Did you not read the Author's Notes, GoWiSt?? It's ALLLLLL FICTION! That means, no FanStory Conference, no Mercedes, etc. Writers do that: they make up shit.
The teacher in me wants to urge you to be a more careful reader, GoWiSt!! Thank you for taking the time to review...well, you know, sort of!!

LOL What a great idea! Each telling your own very made-up version of the same trip! I enjoyed yours immensely so she has her work cut out for her. The horse and buggies may have put you over the top lol Thanks for sharing.

No, no; Gretchen is immensely talented - and HILARIOUS!! Have you "fanned" her so that you will get every chapter sent right to your inbox?
I do love this process, I have to say. Gretchen and I toss ideas around on FB Messenger each evening, but we don't go into details about our own personal versions. We just know we can trust the other to make it fun and cogent.
Thanks for this delightful review, Marilyn; very much appreciated. xo

No sixes left...I am devastated! However, I am also happy to be feeling the positive aftereffect of just having read a brilliant posting. Also, totally love the horse and buggy insertion. Equine-mention never fails to further charge my senses. Today has turned out to be a good one for excellent humor, as well. Write on, my friend! XOXO Lily

Thank you, Lily!! Your warm words of love and encouragement trump are more valuable than a sixth star anyway! Did you see that it's a two-author story, the other participant being GW Hargis, who is not only a friend of mine but an exceptional writer. I know you'll love her "take" on our combined efforts. If you "fan" her, then you won't miss a chapter.
Is there a reason for your equine affinity?

I got a kick out of this chapter of your and Gretchen's story. You used such good descriptions! I can practically picture this happening. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Thanks, Jessi! I'm so happy you've read both our versions. We are having just the BEST time co-authoring. We bounce ideas off each other every night on Facebook and laugh our heads off. It's a very fun experience, and we're so hoping that spills over for our readers. xoxo

This should be interesting. I'm a fan of Gretchen's. I love her writing. She always got several novels going at the same time. I thought you I had already make you my fan because your picture is on my fan page but Gretchen's isn't.

Did you fan her now, though? Because the biggest part of the fun of this is the two different pov's.
-
I don't know why her name isn't thiere but I am always told when she posts and when I tried to fan her again and they said I was already her fan.
-
GW Hargis, not Gretchen.
-
Yes I know. I looked for her as GWHargis. Have you ever met her?

I loved your inventive idea of the two of you writing your story from your different perspectives and I shall right away read Gretchen's version as I know she will pull no punches and tell it as it is. This is such an enjoyable write Rachelle and I think I would have preferred the ride in your brand new, all singing and dancing Mercedes with that massaging seat, to Gretchen's old banger! Ha ha ha, I wish I had a six for you as this was so entertaining, love Dolly x x x

Thank you, Dolly. We are having just the BEST time every night on Facebook, throwing out ideas and laughing our heads off! Who knows; this could end up in a REAL-LIFE road trip! Maybe we'll fly to England and visit YOU!!! xoxox

Ah, what a clever idea. I'll have to check out Gretchen's story. I especially liked "with lacy filigrees of rust skirting the entire length of the driver's side like a dust ruffle." Great dialogue and descriptions and imagination! Of course, I'd always know you'd be in some leopard patterned attire!

Well, YEAHHHHH, Helen, I mean, come ONNNN!! Who am I without my leopard attire?!!
We are having SUCH a fun time with this already, Gretchen and I. She's so imaginative, and the ideas we throw back and forth each night when we private message each other on Facebook having us just rolling with laughter!
Thanks for reading. Definitely check out Gretchen's side of the tale. It's delightful. You WON'T be disappointed!! xoxox

I love the idea of two of you writing this story! It would be great if there were a FanStory Conference we could go to and meet our online writer friends face-to-face. I think you're on to something good here. Looking forward to reading the next chapter.

I don't know, Carol; some people are way more appealing to read than know. (This is me, raising my hand, saying, "Fine!! Okay!! Guilty as charged!! Sheesh!")
Thanks for the fun review. xo

I love this comedic tale that you and Gretchen are doing. It is a fantastic idea to work together and combine your fictitious tales. I laughed at the wonderful use of humor, gag humor and the running comedic theme. So well done!!

Thank you!! We are having the BEST time offsite bouncing ideas off each other. We agree that it's a good thing we don't live anywhere near each other. The world could NOT handle that!!
I appreciate your kind words and delightful review. xoxox
