What an extraordinary job!! This reads like a horror/thriller masterpiece, and I say that even though I am NOT a fan of that genre. You brilliantly sucked me in in the initial chapters, making me think this was going to be a novel about a poor bayou girl who's in a horrible situation from which she needs to escape. Then, BOOM! Suddenly this same girl huffs some of her granny's bottled voodoo and rights all the wrongs her horrible spouse has inflicted!! And am I there saying, "Oh man! The nerve of this writer with a bait-and-switch of such epic proportion. I'm so not going to read another word." NOPE! Instead, I'm going, "YOU GO, DODIE RAE!!! SLASH HIM AGAIN WITH THOSE CLAWS OF YOURS!!! AND THEN BITE OFF HIS OTHER HAND AT THE WRIST WITH YOUR RAZOR TEETH!!! SLURP UP THOSE ENTRAILS PUDDLING ACROSS THE FLOOR, DODIE RAE!! DO IT!!! DON'T STOP NOW!!!" Dodie Rae's not the only one you've turned into a monster, it seems. I, too, have joined the voodoo vengeance freak show!!
Masterful job, oh author extraordinaire!!!!! Encore!! (Sorry I'm out of sixes. It definitely deserves ONLY sixes, this story!!!!) I'll promote you to help you get it noticed by the review whores - those who only review for the big bucks!

What a fantastic review, my friend. Talk about pumping up one's self-esteem. A couple of other viewers want to continue this journey but aren't typically into this genre either. I feel great about this. This next chapter will have to be a bit longer.

"No more," she said in a deep, raspy snarl. "never again." - never should be Never.
"N-n-n-no," she mocked. "Of course you didn't ." You have a space between 't' and '.'

It's fun imagining changelings, isn't it? Mine was based on an actual, truly horrific kidnap, rape and attempted murder of a young teen-age girl. Her kidnappers tossed what they thought was her dead body into a canyon beside the road in the San Gabriel Mountains of Southern California. She survived and was able to identify her attackers. My character, succored by the ancient Egyptian goddess Isis, is offered the opportunity to avenge such acts when she meets her majority. "The Vigilance Committee," in my portfolio describes the genesis of sweet, entrancingly beautiful, April and her further exploits. The metamorphosis of your timid and cowed wife into the creature is nicely done. Like April, she doesn't just kill'em, she eats them! Live long and write well, Fantasist

It is quite a nice story only that it is kind of scary especially the use of harsh words.it makes one thinks of violence.Words like "Shit" makes one think of a fight.
