Your words give a voice to those who suffer from the results of war. You have a smooth flow of lines and verses which bring forth your theme in a strong way. The reader feels for these people and wishes that all wars on this earth would cease.

I enjoyed reading your poem. It is so sad and moving. The rhyming scheme is very good. The poem is well written. You described the suffering of the refugees well. Good luck in the contest.

All we can do is try to alleviate their suffering as best we can within our own circle of influence, and do what we can to help suffering people to begin a new life in safety. Compassion is in short supply world wide but we must each do our best to offer it. When we know people, we don't fear them. I appreciate your fine and moving poem written from the point of view of a refugee, one who is suffering greatly.
Well done.
Wendy

Your poem was heartfelt and emotional. I, too, worry for the refugees. It's hard to know what to do. You have touched on a growing problem in a sensitive way. Thanks for sharing. :)

Super wow, your "Cry of a Refugee," Mr. Barry Penfold do touch me a lot! I know exactly what it like to be a refugee because I once was a refugee survived from a genocide regime long ago... Anyway, I love the fact that your descriptive words choices described so finely to the point of any Refugees' real life went through. Your art choice also speak for it too, a very superb written piece, and I love it a lot, wish you win this one. :) !!!

This is a great poem, and describes very well the anguish of refugees. I have worked in several conflict areas where refugees and IDPs were part of my everyday life, and this poem sums up the situation very well. The first verse rhyming was a bit shaky, but other than that, well done!

Your poem highlights a massive problem in the world today and one that seems to defy solution. Monorhyme verses are not easy to handle but your rhymes generally work well. Good luck in the contest.

A strong and excellent poem, exposing the sufferings of refugees, their pains and silence of those who should care. Why do men make wars, but to steal, kill and dominate. Thanks for sharing your inspirations. Well done, dear Barry. Good luck in the contest.
