One of the many milestones of growing up and reaching adulthood. In our family, the tears ceased as soon as they discovered that the "tooth fairy" would bring them money.... but I was surprised to learn that what was once a few pieces of change had grown in Dollar signs. Change happens!

Thanks for your review, Carol. Yup, my child is nonverbal, so I wasn't able to do the tooth fairy story with her. But it helped with my other two children! LOL!

This was such a sweet and creative take on the three line poem addressed to a loved one. You got the syllable count and subject matter right, and the poem was lovely. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Well said Aiona ---" The enamel of milk teeth is not as durable as that of permanent teeth. So many metaphors with life." Some people place the fallen tooth under their pillow (used to?) for the good fairy to bring them luck. In my case, a long time ago, I went around showing the tooth to enhance my macho image which was badly lacking. =)

Thanks for your review, Shanbreen. Yup, the tooth fairy story worked well with consoling my other two children, but the youngest is nonverbal. So even this poem didn't help console her. It took about 3-4 KitKats and lots of hugs for the tears to stop. LOL!

Ah this is such good advice for the little ones. They get so upset over losing their first tooth, God love them. But then they discover another will grow in its place! Another milestone of growing up. Well done
