you made an amusing story out of the club prompt, except that I wasn't too sure what exactly made Zed change his mind and become enthusiastic for the adventure. Perhaps a tiny tweak could clarify that. kay

This is a great story for young kids, Wendy. I'm sitting here patting Sam. It is bedtime, but he is not happy. It's either the fact that young Paul has left him here while he and Taryn go to Nashville, or that he has to share the house with Zach for a day or two.

Lol, probably the latter. He probably hoped to have you all to himself. Sunny sends his greetings (or he would if he was awake!) I am so pleased you enjoyed this fun little story.

What a great post and a very clever slant on zebra crossing, I never quite thought of them that way, how perceptive and clever you are to perceive that. Then they are looking for more zebra crossing to cavort across, well done, blessings Roy

A wonderful story about Stripe and Zed, expressed clearly in dialogue form, and perfectly fulfilling the brief. The great thing about this post is that it could be a fun read for children as well, encouraging them to think about wildlife and the cruel way they're so often imprisoned in zoos; whilst also being reminding of road safety and locations within their own town or city of zebra crossings. Thank you for sharing, Wendy. Debbie x

Thank you very much Debbie, for this thoughtful and supportive review. I had that in mind, to share about zebras' need for space and freedom (as for all animals) but I'd probably need to remove the bit about pub crawls if it is to be read by children! Very encouraging review!

This is a marvelous and creative story that you have written and I enjoyed listening to it every way every sentence of it. It was a wonderful story and I wish you the very best when you come to a zebra crossing. Have a good day and may God bless you. Patricia.

It's hard to believe, but I had as much fun reading dialogue by zebras as the zebras had running through the streets looking for crossings. This is a very imaginative and fun story.

Lol. I am so glad. I had fun writing it too, and it's so great to hear that you enjoyed the story as well. Now next time you cross a road at a zebra crossing, you'll think of these zebras. Lol.

Lol. Yes, why not? They've got used to humans and their phones taking photos of them within the zoo, and it's changed them - they are no longer camera-shy! Lol. Thanks so much for your fun review.

I enjoyed your story and learning about zebra crossings. The idea made for a very interesting story. You write well with nonfiction and very creatively with fiction.

Thank you for sharing this club entry with us. It was a lot of fun to read. The humor was perfect. I vote we all take a walk to a zebra crossing. Why not???

I know this is fiction but I'm seeing real zebras crossing at a zebra crossing so what is this all about? This could be a children's story. It is a cute one. I hate to see animal caged. It would be good if they could be free to run about.

Lol. Some zebras really did escape, in South Korea and in the US, so Helen gave the story as a prompt for her flash-fiction club. Why did they run away? Our zebras are really in a free range zoo/refuge out in the country where they are fully free, which is very good. Thanks so much for reviewing.
