Esther...
I'm so glad to have sixes remaining as this deserves a ten!
You summed up the Lord's Prayer in easy to follow terms and definitions (which me personally appreciates)!
I'm going to bookmark this for easy access at s as lol times.
Thank you for sharing,
John

Sometimes, it's hard for all of us to forgive, and especially those who have hurt us intentionally, or without any consideration of our feelings. Thanks for sharing.

Virtual six for this beautiful commentary on The Lord's Prayer. I could relate to each one.
This in particular--Forgive us our sins as we have forgiven those who sin against us". I struggle so much with forgiving people who have hurt my feelings. You forgave me, removing my sins as far as the east is from the west. Please search my heart and bring to my thoughts those I need to forgive. Help me to turn from judgment. Help me to be unoffendable. Keep me from dwelling on hurts. Forgive me for "digging up the dead man" (reliving in my thoughts things already forgiven).
I do that and I find when I releawe the person too before God it helps. Thinking and rehashing the offense oits them back in the prison of my mind and that is not what God would have for them or for me. Thank you for sharing and beautifully so.

Esther, this is one of the most moving posts I've read. You are a gifted writer, but more than that, you listen to the Good Shepherd. I love your work, but this one stands above all, and that's saying something.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts and prayer!

Thanks Rhonda. I entered a letter in the Dear God contest but just didn't feel like a prayer. It was a thank you letter for what God did in my life through that specific pastor. Got me thinking about prayer. Made me realize just how shallow my prayers usually are. Humbling.

And I love works that honor The Lord. Sometimes there are silly posts for contests or for fun but the only meaningful ones are the ones that honor The Lord and highlight our human condition.

I hope more people will review your beautiful meditation on the Lord's Prayer. You not only covered a clear understanding of it but you supported it with other Scripture throughout the Bible! Loved this!!

You planned my existence before I was even born, and knew the paths I would take. You hear my prayers even though I am often doubtful and confused and scared. You know my heart.
Powerful words indeed and yes he does know everything.

Very well written, Esther and something we should all read daily and begin and end our day with a prayer. We are so fortunate to be loved by our Lord and so often we fail him, yet he stills watches over us. Gret job!
