Your opening paragraph describes the storm very well. I sleep well in a storm but that's because our storms are not as threatening as this one. You left us hanging here as Lester is found in the storm with something worrying on his mind. Storms bring all sorts of problems and this must be bad if Lester has risked his life to get to Heddy's house, another fine chapter, love Dolly x x x

Exciting stuff.
I was always glad that storms never took our trees, though they have many the various places we've lived. That was when I was a kid, though.
In '85 a tornado put down dozens and dozens of trees around our house, the house that it destroyed.

That's a very traumatic story, Wayne. We've had trees fall on cars and a soundside surge that took out the bottom levels of houses, but where I live, the main part of the house is on pilings. Thanks so much. Gretchen
