I love that this could be God, Jesus or your significant other. I'm guessing you meant Jesus because of the picture, but it wasn't overwhelming religious. I think your personal relationship with God is just that, personal. I never would have survived half of the things I did without my faith, but I'll only tell you if you ask me. I won't scream it from the mountaintop. Maybe that makes me less than those that do, but I've always felt that actions speak louder than words. Your poem was awesome. Gretchen

Yes, I would like to know but I understand not sharing in public.
I don't like overly religious posts. I try to express my honest personal feelings and thoughts about my relationship with God.

I'm so glad you can feel the Lord's love for you! In the night is especially the time we need to be reassured. And from the Genesis story of Creation, it was the night that is the beginning of the day and He is our beginning into new life!

I enjoyed reading this beautiful piece. The imagery is lovely with descriptive language as dusk sets in and darkness falls.
It is there, alone in the darkness, that you feel God's love.
