This was very cute, what a great saying to have on a kitchen plaque, especially in Sorrento where there is an abundance of lemons. No errors n noted and I must try it out.

It?s so easy, just have to watch the ratios.
Thank you so much for reading and sharing.

Enjoyed reading this piece very much as my ancestors are from Southern Italy. We make ours at home, but with milk, so it is creamy and is called "Crema di Limone". I especially appreciate all the other serving suggestions. Great fun. Grazie mille.

Prego. I saw the one made with milk. As it was my first endeavor, I opted to stay away from the milk. Maybe next time.
Thank you.

I am sure it's a favorite in Little Italy which most any NJ city would have. Before we moved to our home in West Trenton, which was more a kubbutz, we lived in Chambersburg, better known as the BUrg where all the WOPS congregated. I loved them so much I thought I would change Horonzy to Horonzi to pass as an Italiano but the blue eyes killed the idea.

My blonde hair had people wondering how I was Italian. Last name of DeGrassi and parents born in Italy was proof enough.
Thanks for the great review!

Oh my! Since I drink maybe a glass of wine - a year. I think I will have to pass on the limoncello or risk passing out. But it wounds very interesting and thank you for the entertaining post with songs I actually know!

Sorry?
Thank you, Helen for reading and sharing.
You had a glass of wine in our interview last summer? 😊

No, I asked for Perrier. Lol.

Sounds a bit too strong for me. Heaven knows what I might do if I had a few swigs of it! Nevertheless I love your pleasure in the things which make up the fine life, and your creativity in writing, making everything you do in the kitchen sound fabulous. Well written.

It can be made with vodka, which is clear and much lower proof. I didn?t use vodka because that has its own distinct flavor.
Thank you, Wendy for reading and sharing.

Did you say Ever-clear? You weren't kidding. Now there's some powerful stuff. I would love to try some of your lemon concoction & I would make it myself, but I fear that it's too dangerous for me to handle. I doubt Glen would let me even be close to the stuff. But your lemon drink does sound wonderful
So I just wanted to wish you guys a happy 45th anniversary. You are behind us 5 yrs and a few weeks. So you guys, I hope you have a wonderful rest of your life and please tell Deb happy anniversary from me,.

Yup. Everclear, 190 proof. Heavy duty sh_t. That?s a French term? sh_t!
It?s potent but tastes so good. You?ll have to try it in moderation so Glen won?t get mad at me.
Thank you for the anniversary wishes. I can?t believe 45 years. I?ll be 114 after the next 45?
I?ll tell my Debbie your well wishes as I drive her to the airport in the morning. She?s on her way to Florida for a week to see our granddaughter in her first school play.
When?s your 50th? May 13?

Ours is close to yours. It is on the 18th.

You always always amaze me. I knew you wouldn't be doing anything simple of easy with the lemons. You skills in the kitchen likely leave all of us women envious. I'd love to try it, but it sounds like work, in spite of the coffee and music.

Limoncello is far too strong for me John, and the Spanish and Greeks love to serve if after the meal. You are a genius when it comes to these specialist recipes, much enjoyed, love Dolly x

Far from genius, but thank you. Now I have to get my head back to normal size, haha,
Always a pleasure.

Once again you have come up with something interesting and undoubtably tasty. Do you think it came out as it should taste? That separating zest from pith is usually what I get wrong. Cheers!

I got a homemade bottle of limoncello from a co-worker who?s made it numerous times. Mine was a little sweeter. I have to cut back on the simple syrup.
Except now a reviewer asked me about homemade Kahlua which I?ll have to study up on. Challenge accepted
Thank you for reading. Always appreciated.

My husband's grandmother made kahlua for years as a gift to her friends and family. I didn't like it then but have developed an interest for coffee lately. Good choice for another article.

My favorite line: "'m still trying to figure out if her lips puckered to kiss me or due to the tartness of the lemon. I'll add that to our mystery pile..." i like how you took that saying and turned it into an entire chapter with ingredients and directions for doing something besides slumping in ones depression
