The story isn't quite over yet, so expect some conflict and tension before the end.
Great suggestions, Lance. Sometimes those tense changes get me. Much appreciated.

Alan couldn't have asked for a better outcome than that. Now the way seems clear to go ahead. I hope he doesn't find any further impediments to registering his patent.

We're done with the patent problems for this invention with a very pleasing conclusion. Still some more action to come, though before the end.

My goodness, Meyers certainly acted fast and I'm wondering if that $100,000 will ever see the light of day again? Your dialogue, as ever, is excellent, making the scene in Fraleigh's office very real and credible. An enjoyable and informative read, Jim. Thanks for sharing. Debbie

Warren seems to have gotten away with it, but we can't let him off that easily. Expect an interaction before the end.
Thanks for your continued support of this story, Debbie.

Hello Jim,
Somehow I missed the previous chapter and had to read it first. I've been getting ready to leave for a few weeks and haven't had much time for FS. I really enjoyed this chapter. It sucks that Warren got money, and a lot of money, for something he didn't even invent. It sounds like Alan could really benefit handsomely though from this invention. I'm glad it's working out for him. Well done.
Have a blessed evening.

Yeah, Warren got away with it for now. He may have even earned enough to cover his gambling debts. But you know I can't leave it there. One final encounter before the end.

Hello, Jim,
Whew!
This chapter ended on a positive note, and I reading with eagerness how Mr. Fraleigh was going to handle the situation. (Methinks his brother-in-law will be looking for a new job soon!
Realistic dialogue and progression of action and plot.
Much enjoyed!
Thank you for sharing, Jim!

That brought a sigh of relief. I was amazed at the amount of money paid for Alan's invention. Warren was smarted than I thought. He really scored, and probably has enough money to pay his debt and continue gambling. He'll need money. He no longer has a job...at least not with Alan.

Yeah, Warren profited big time and appears to have gotten away with it. Alan still has an interest in getting his hard drive back, so we can expect another encounter with Warren soon.
