I thought this was very creative. It's thought provoking poem that makes me think about the differences between these two bodies of water. And I love that you can read deeper into it.

I like this very much! It's simple and yet so profound, comparing lakes to the sea and, in turn, reinforcing the magnificence of the ever constant and flowing ocean. An excellent subject for the contest prompt with a fun and appropriate image to accompany it. Well done and good luck! Debbie

A good entry for the Lune Poetry contest. The poem meets the syllable criteria. It is true. Salt completely changes the composition of water. Not only will it not freeze...it inhibits swimmers from entering the ocean immediately after shaving their legs. :-) Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest.

5-3-5 Yes it ticks that box twice I see, now you are showing off. Lakes do stand still when they freeze. Do salt water lakes ever freeze? I would have to ask a geographer. I like it, it gets a five from me, good luck.

This lune poem, The Thing about Salt, has the proper formatting and reminds us that salt has a tendency to resist freezing. I guess those icebergs never got the message. : )
