Wow! Very creative and to the point for a short poem. You made every word you wrote matter. I love the idea of the ground wearing its Sunday best from the flowers. It also reminds me that Spring is almost here and soon the streets where I live will look like that.

Even the ground wears "its Sunday best" on the church path that is covered by cherry blossoms. It's a lovely time of year. So far I have seen mostly plum blossoms, not any cherry blossoms yet.

This is a creative and lovely poem. I love the imagery and the comparison between the fallen rose petals and dressing our best for church. I'm just wondering if the word, "across," would work better than "over,"? Hmm, I don't know. I could be wrong.

This poem is magical on its own. Add that great photograph and it explodes. You have me missing Seattle with the gorgeous Cherry Blossom trees and the fragrance for miles. Beautifully written. Thanks for sharing.
