We live in a world where fake new is flying around everywhere these days. Down feathers in a fan would make for an express sender. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Bethshelby, in these sparsely 8 syllables you managed to insert three
F's for alliteration and a simile (like feathers). Of course those poetics
alone provides a small melodious hum. The picture goes with the apt
verbiage like a hand in glove, which makes this a very nice entry in the contest. Good luck teafor2

Fake new? I wonder where I've heard that before? LOL Yes, the fake news does fly like feathers in the wind, and they hope they will stick far and wide. What a world we live in today. Makes me crazy. Good luck with the contest.

Thank you Jeano, I think we all are constantly hearing about fake news. It is too bad it is a reality. Both sides of the political agenda claim it is the other side that is listening to Fake news. I'm sure there is some on both sides but rather than from the TV news shows, most of it is coming from the internet sites that aren't regulated and other countries are putting out lies to divide us. Any one can make up a like about the other side and get people to believe it.

You're welcome.

Where can you find news nowadays that isn't false? One station tells their opinion, another tells theirs. There's no one line Walter Cronkite or Huntley and Brinkley that just related "news".

Thank you Jim. There are too many news personalities that put their one spin on the story. I think some stations that report the pure news with no spin, like might have it as straight as possible. Stations are subject to being sued, and Fox seems to be sued often, if they lie. Most of the regular stations have to tell you if a story hasn't been checked and confirmed. Thanks for the review.

Unless there is a gripping story, unfortunately, I try to avoid the news now. I had hopes for FOX for awhile, but that's gone now.

Love this - the alliterations, the image, and the overall presentation. You're right, it does, and we are in trouble because of it.
Good luck in the contest - I think this is excellent.

Ain't that the truth?!?! Falling just about everywhere. Very well done. You manage to pack a whole lot of wisdom into a very tiny space constraint, very impressive!

Some fine alliteration and a well crafted 2-4-2 fulfilling the brief. Your verse complemented by the visual powerfully captures the random nature of this dispersal of lies. Thanks for sharing and good luck! Debbie

Comment from Marilyn Hamilton
Such a hot topic these days in this 2-4-2 poem contest entry. It's often difficult to tell if the lie is coming from the news source or if the news source is just reporting the second-hand lie told by a politician. Very good luck in the contest.

Thank You, Marilyn. Some of the staff on the news media are guilty of putting their spin on the news. If it is actually a news story, they can get sued for lying and they have to tell if it hasn't been checked out, but not so these internet sources who put any lie out there with no conquences. That is where most people of getting their fake news. Thanks for the great review.

This 2-4-2, Fake News, has the proper formatting and should note that the shocking and depressing news travels faster than the story of Aunt Jan's mince pie.

Thank you Bill. Yes the bigger the lie the faster it travels. Most the time they are wild but sometimes they are not easy to disprove.

Comment from Wayne Fowler
Well done.
It's galling that purveyors of false news turn around and accuse truth-tellers of doing what they, themselves, do all the time in an effort to drag the other side down, thereby, they hope, elevating themselves. If that makes any sense.
Good luck in the contest.

Thank you Wayne. It is pointless to express your thoughts to someone who has bought into the this ridiculous fack news. It is like you say they claim it you who listen to fake news.
