This is a really great chapter you have penned. It made me want to smack Jason for what he said to Gabby and the way he is acting. You used great dialogue. I hope Dion can make a difference in the way Jason is thinking about the baby! Thanks for sharing. love and blessings, Teri

At times, it seems too real since I'm drawing from life's drama, but I'm thrilled you can feel the emotions churning in my characters. I appreciate your time and review, Teri. Thank you very much.

I have always felt bad for young girls in Gabby's position. When I was a teen, my best friend became pregnant. I was devastated. Every word of narration and dialogue in this story is realistic. The twisted road has begun early in your character's lives, as happens in real life. We do not yet know the problems Natasha and Becky will face. How will each of these youngsters cope?

    Good morning, Lorraine

Yes, Natasha and Becky will face their own problems and unfortunately, the ties that bond will be strained. Thank you so much for reading and following my story.

Jason is 100% wrong, but his attitude is not uncommon. If guys were the ones who got pregnant, there attitudes would swiftly change. I see red everytime a guy walks away from his responsibility and offspring.Good writing. Karen

I agree... anyone, male or female, needs to accept responsibility for their actions. I'm afraid there will be many people dodging reality in the story. Thanks for reviewing.

At least one friend is decent. Now Dion knows what the real Jason is like, he doesn't like him at all! I hope Jason fails in his football career. I know, that's nasty, but that's how I feel. Another well written chapter, my friend. Love and hugs, Sandra xx

My goodness, and here you are again... Smiles and thank you. The story's about to take a dive. Bad things happen to good people.... we will just have to have hope, but will it be enough?

Dion is going to help Gabby, isn't he? I would hope Jason would 'man up' but I guessing he isn't who everybody thought he was. I really enjoy reading this story. It's real and down to earth.

Sometimes it's tough to draw from life's circumstances, yet still give the written characters lives of their own. It's a balancing act. I truly appreciate that you feel it's an enjoyable read. Thanks as always, Barb.

Science shows that humans don't start to mature mentally until the age of 27, and with their bodies so far ahead of their minds, it's almost impossible for them to make the right decisions. Leaving us old people who have made all their mistakes, and in my case, then some, to worry and feel helpless. They will thank us someday, but until then, we are just meddling old people. :-)Thanks for sharing.

You nailed this comment! I wonder if some "family" ever mature or find respect for others. I've been told by my 16 yr old granddaughter that I am an "ugly stupid, senile bitch". Of course she dotted her i's and crossed her t's with a stream of words I'd rather not put in print. A whole story in its self. Life's grand if you don't weaken.

Well, it's obvious you're anything but senile. And any young person who would say such mean and hurtful things is cold hearted and/or very angry. I'm sorry to say this, but sounds like it's time to wipe that one off your list. Like I told one of my son's, "If you have no respect for me and anything I've ever done, then you won't mind us crossing each off the other's list." I haven't seen or talked to him since (going on six years). It breaks my heart. But at least now he can't kick it around in the dirt whenever I say or do something that doesn't suit him. Just a thought. :-)
Make this week, Carol's week! And the heck with everyone else.

I'm trying...my daughter believed every lie Kaitlyn told her without even asking for my side of the story. That hurt worse than my granddaughter's mouth. Especially since I was just trying to stop a fight between her and her cousin at midnight in my front room. Ugh! You are right though...Corrie started spreading Kaitlyn's lies to friends and family, so I did decide enough was enough. It does hurt, but the bright side is that it brought me back to writing.

Well, it's great to have you back. And there comes a time when we have to think of ourselves a little. Because sadly, others, at any age, tend to do just that. Have a wonderful week and keep that pen scratching!

This is a very compelling read - I want to know more. Even coming in at chapter 7, I am instantly engaged. It is a story older than time, but the tone and feelings it expresses are done in an original way. Great pace and interesting characters flawed in their own way which gives them a more rounded feel. I enjoyed it thank you begin again.
Best wishes
Caroline

Good morning, Caroline... Much like my flawed characters, I seem to "begin again" too many times to count. I love writing and have only returned to FS recently. It makes my heart "sing" when others enjoy my endeavors, Thank you for being so kind. I'm pleased to meet you and hope you continue to follow the story.

Thus is excellent and we'll written. Your dualogues captured me. I'm so mad he toss her out of a moving car. He should be arrested let alone be allowed to play ball. Your descriptions were full and easy to follow.

Best wishes,

Alex

It seems Gabby would have been better off if she fallen in love with Dion. He really cares what happens to her and he is disappointed in his friend's reaction. This is good writing.

Yes, I agree! I think she was thankful to have Jason comfort her after her mother's death and Dion respected his friends wishes. We'll see if it "all comes out in the wash."

Good morning, Carol!
A very realistic and moving chapter.
The plot, dialogue, and action moved seamlessly.
I especially noted the dialogue: very realistic as well as the emotions noted.
The actions of Jason were particularly noted: scared, selfish, not taking responsibility...
Powerful.

Thank you for sharing!

    Good morning, Diane
Thanks for stopping by and reviewing. It's a story that unfortunately shows Bad things can and do happen to good people. We can hope it will come out "in the wash" so to speak.
