This is another excellent chapter. What a relief for Gabby. She knows now she has options. I do not see any need for improvement. Have a blessed day.

The relief here is that Gabby has made that first crucial reach for guidance... Camouflaged though she tried to make it.

I have no doubt Audrey to intuitively knows what's happening.

My worry is Bobby. He has all the earmarks of someone who would use a bulldozer to rid his lawn of a dandelion...

We'll see!

You most certainly have Bobby pegged correctly. Gabby will be wise to steer as far of course from her dad as she possibly can. He's a cannon, looking for a place to explode. Now Gabby has a rocky road to walk before she makes her decision.

Thank you for sharing this with us. Gabby certainly isn't going to get support from her dad, Bobby. I do hope Aunt Audrey helps her. I think that would be a good choice or her to talk to. I enjoyed reading.

Audrey has a good heart but unfortunately she's carrying some heavy burdens of her own. That family isn't traveling an easy highway.

Gabby has some tough decisions on her horizon. I hope she talks with someone who can help her, and then decides wisely. The dialogue with Audrey and Bobby fills in some backstory for the readers. Too bad Gabby wasn't honest with Audrey, but that's likely what a teenager would do. Good chapter. Carol

So true! No straight answers from the younger crew. And when it gets mixed with lies as well the road definitely gets rocky. Hopefully, Gabby will consider all her options before being swayed by others.

I keep trying to figure out which granddaughter might be yours since I know there are some elements of truth in this story; Also what role are you playing. I feel really sorry for kids facing that problem. Options are drying up. I always enjoy your stories. They contain a lot of drama.

Unfortunately, several of my granddaughters' lives formed the concept of this story. Drama and sadness has been the core of our existence for a long time. The story is fiction, but a lot of it was drawn from my life. Thanks for reading and understanding. Hugs, Carol

What an interesting dilemma, I wish I'd been able to support my dad more, he was a good man, but mum slagged him all his life, even long after he was dead, but he had a poor, she drove him to drink, but he was never violent or argumentative, I love this, I don't know how homes get into this state, don't they love their kids, great job Carol, blessings Roy

My father wasn't a drunk but he was a mean one. Unfortunately, my kids didn't ever see any of his good qualities. He was a hard working German, set in HIS ways and that's all that counted in his mind. Now, since his passing, I sit and try to find the good that he hid so well.

We can be born into what isn?t God?s blueprint, but we can change that. Beautifully written, blessings Carol,
