This is a depthful piece that reflects some of the realities of "romance" that the Hallmark cards and schmaltzy writers tend to overlook. The truth of a person is in the daily interactions and imperfections that make them (and your connection) unique.

I love this! It's got real passion in it which shines through your honest, direct words. Even though this lady moved on, this isn't a poem about self-pity but more, in my view, a celebration of your understandable love for Lady Raven, a very sexy and vivacious lady. Well done! A virtual six from me. Debbie

This is EXCELLENT. You drew a perfect picture of this enigmatic, mercurial woman you adored. Whereas others would find her "too much," that was what made her so appealing in your eyes.
Super excellent work here; I'm really glad I got to read this today. You're very talented.

Well, but that's because you did such a great job with your descriptions. I'm very impressed with your abilities. You're masterful with words.

This is how every woman wants to be loved, methinks -- what a romantic and beautiful poem. I don't have anything more to say than this--
I loved your verse,
I loved your style,
I loved to read it -
made me smile.

What an interesting poem. It lends itself to more questions than it answers. Like who was this magnificent Lady Raven? And why did she go? Wanderlust?
Very nicely done. Poetry really should leave the reader thinking upon its meaning.

Very creatively composed about someone who loved a free spirit who could not be tamed or controlled. he loved her with all her faults as well as special attributes - but it was never enough. Beautifully and thoughtfully done.

I enjoyed your song as I sang through it. Wondering what the sound will be like..the only thing that I am not feeling you need is all the I's..I this and I that..could start a line with just Loved...for example...

An endearing poem that reminds us of where most of us have been. A toxic relationship has run its course and we have hopefully learned from the experience.
Well done.
Blessings

I think most of us have has a similar experience with a loved one at some point in our lives. We loved them but knew it wouldn't last. That person was too much of a free spirit and that's what made them who they were. They needed to be that person. This is a great poem. I wish I had a six left.
