The greatest tip of all! Come and post your work... Be open to honest and helpful reviews, take classes if you can, and regardless of number of reviews, the fringe benefit of growing to close in an extended FanStory Family truly is a blessing! I disagree, on one point. Seriously ~ you are very gifted, and you do set the world on fire!

This is an encouraging post. I never aspired to be a writer. In 2019 a published poet friend of mine suggested I try writing. In 2020 I joined three online writing groups. I posted a story on FanStory, received seven reviews and was thrilled. Since then, reviewers like you have been very helpful and supportive. Thank you for sharing your positive story for newbies and not so newbies.

This is an encouraging post. I never aspired to be a writer. In 2019 a published poet friend of mine suggested I try writing. In 2020 I joined three online writing groups. I posted a story on FanStory, received seven reviews and was thrilled. Since then, reviewers like you have been very helpful and supportive. Nice artwork to go with your writing. You do a good job showcasing the importance of FanStory to you, as well as the friendships you've made. You have a very good opening that draws the reader in. I like the idea of sharing and commenting on your first post. It lets new members see a glimpse of the site toward its beginnings.
Very good concluding paragraphs showing how much you have learned from reviews and classes. It is also encouraging to new members to hear someone say they "are here for life."

I've been a member of FanStory since 2008. I agree with what you've said. I never expected to have friends or as I like to put it, A FanStory Family. We're here to support each other and that does happen. I've become a better writer because of the help I've been given.
