Beyond Belief
A Christmas Poem37 total reviews

This wonderful poem has multiple topics of innocence, disappointment, maturation, grief, and the solace that goodness can bring. "Beyond Belief" is not a poem of brilliant descriptive language or imagery, but in straightforward rhymes the path taken by someone who loses Santa Claus but replaces him with a love and sensibility much more profound.

Hello Jessica,
A wonderful story within a beautiful poem of
a learn all come to learn.
It flows down the page with marvelous meter and rhyme.
Someone once wrote:
May we never be to grown up to search the skies on Christmas eve."
Best wishes to you and family.
Have a wonderful Christmas.

To possess the spirit of giving unselfishly, no matter the date on a calendar. But to want to help those less fortunate is a spirit that is God trained. The world is blessed by the presence of such ones.

This was a lovely poem. Although we all dread when children start to doubt this is a wonderful outcome. My children wanted to forego Christmas presents one year in return for adopting a family. We did it but still found a way to give our kids a good Christmas. Giving just feels good and right. Perfect Christmas poem. Gretchen

We raised our daughter to celebrate Jesus at Christmas, as I promised the Lord, but also view Santa in a fun way. Now she is older and has never had a problem with this, and each Christmas my wife was alive, we sang "Happy Birthday, Jesus" and had a cake. I still read the Gospel story of Christ's Birth to her.

Such a nice and appropriate post for the season. One of my grandchildren, (at the same age), announced that what he wanted for Christmas was new toys for other children. He meant it! Many never reach this epiphany.

What a beautiful touching poem. It is hard on children when they get that first realization of that dreaded message about Santa.
But how wonderful when, as in your poem, they learn to know that it's that spirit of love and sharing that is true. Thanks for sharing this message with us and good luck in the contest.

This is a very touching and beautiful poem. I appreciate the way you describe the change into the little girl's mind and how she finds again her previous joy while doing something for the others in this Christmas' period.
You are a blessed mother to have such a kind girl!
I wish you and your family a beautiful and joyful Christmas' day.
