The words are so meaningful in this poem. Can you imagine how this little boy felt when he hung his ornaments on the tree so everyone could see what he had made? They were his keepsakes.

Hi Marival,
well, for me you engage your reader with an impactful statement with your first two words.
The meaning which allows the true nature of what we all should be celebrating. The simplicity in the illumination of God's love
Such a beautiful visually composed poem MariVal.
With the word of Jesus we all can join in creating such a light... an avenue with the purest of intent.
Stunning!
All the very best in this contest dear friend... a great Christmas message!
With our thoughts we create...
the power of nature's church.
Warmest regards,
James.

A beautifully expressed little free verse contrasting the light of the world with the humble gesture of a child celebrating the season. A poignant and moving scene. Well done, Gypsy, and good luck! Debbie

Beautifully written Gypsy, as the darkness light takes on a different perspective, however small, it takes authority over the darkness, the dark cannot exist where light is present, blessings Roy

This is a perfect poem for the Christmas poetry contest!
It's not the electrical light that lights up our hearts but Jesus Who is the Light of the World.
Great job with this!
