Well goodness. That was a shocking episode. And now we have a seriously injured Ben! Heart in mouth time, Wayne. Brilliantly written. Can't wait for the next, or are we nearing an ending??????

Well, you're not going to kill Ben off are you? We're going to have to take you to literary court. Oh by the way, I saw your book. Is it with your wife that you wrote it? I bought it for Kindle.
What other works have you written? I saw some works where your work was part of an anthology.
Great chapter and it's good that his partner took the credit/blame as Ben's name hasn't quite been cleared yet. Beth and Ben are so close that she knew when he was shot.

The book that my wife and I wrote together is 'Plot This', taking authors to court. One anthology is a collection of about 80 Ohmie stories. Another anthology that my wife and I collaborated on is 'Author's Pique'. Debbie wrote some of those stories. 'America Races' is up there along with a couple others.
You might be one of the very few outside family to have accessed one of them. Thank you!

I hope Ben knew what he was doing when he let Soapy shoot him. Beth can't know that about the shooting, she just knows Ben is hurt. Ben's idea for a militia was a good one as Alaska at that time had no law.

This review came across my screen and now I'm left with this cliffhanger because of the dirty,low-down Soapy. ! II like the chapter size, and the action of the scene from the chapter. I'm bookmarking so that I can catch up with the story in my downtime next month.
Well done. I'm wondering if you've watched a lot of Westerns in your day. My dad was a huge 'Westerns" fan when we were growing up and this certainly reads like one.

Ooh! Goodness, Soapy finally got his comeuppance at the end of a guna nd I never would have believed it would be Ben's. My favourite line here was "Those who could see Ben sensed something more than a man". I liked the sense of moral fibre and God's strength in him. Will he recover? Please?
