Christmas in July! I love that thought. All these Santa poems are really good. I'm having a hard time picking my favorite. If I wrote one it would be dark. A story about Christmas cheer gone wrong or something. Hmm, too much eggnog and a snowmobile, or, a Christmas tree hunt with wolves or bears. Oh, the possibilities(probabilities).

I don't think kids would go for Christmas in July. It would be too hot for Santa to make his rounds. One of my aunts used to tell this sick joke. "Momma, why are we having Christmas in July?"
"You little fool, don't you know you have cancer?"
I didn't realize Santa had been overworking his staff like that. It's a wonder Mrs. Claus hasn't set him straight. This is a clever idea and well rhymed. I'm glad Santa came to his senses and gave his reindeer and elves their due. Best of luck in the contest.
I hope the Oxervate is working for you. I think my eyes feel worse after two weeks of the eye drops than they did before. Maybe it takes longer to see improvement. judi

You are right, that is not a very nice joke. I wrote this last year but thought it be fun to re-post as it is getting harder and harder to write. I will take it easy in the new year until after surgery and the doctor said the kind I need it maybe months before my eyes are of good use again. However I am still doing my tribute poems. And you will be one of the first.
I do know what you meansbout feeling worse. I hate it but I am only half way through so we will see.

You are welcome. If we can't trust our government, why should we trust Santa Claus? I'm not nearly as bad off as you when it comes to my eyes, but I am finding it more difficult to read because my eyes start burning. I still have 6 more long weeks to go. judi

Nobody gets on this stuff without it being miserable, Judi, so please take care of yourself. I care about you and what your eyes are going through too. You are a remarkable woman and I hope it helps to know that I hate it too. I don't know who is worse off, but I do know it is not fun for either of us.
