Good morning dear Iza, powerful thoughts in you short poem...
These lines are amazing...
Will die under the cold kiss
Of forgetfulness?
Lisasview, getting chilly here in Spain

That could have been a picture of me! Except my eyes are green. Where have you been? Bust with life I hope, and not ill or anything. Good work here. Karen

This piece put me in mind of the children suffering in Israel and Gaza, and in the Ukraine, and in so many other places around the world. Let us all pray for a reprieve as we approach Christmas.

Thank you for reminding us of the needs of so many, not just during this Christmas season, but each day. Unfortunately, some of these individuals refuse to be helped. When I was a P.C., I had a woman on my caseload whose refrigerator and pantry were always empty. When I got food for her, it would always be gone again as she would give it to the drug dealers.

This is a poem prompting some heavy thoughts. There is too much hunger in the world and I fear it is increasing. In the past, when I was much younger, I have rung the Salvation Army bell at Christmas. It is a good feeling to be helpful even if you are not able to actually solve the problem. Let us hope the future will contain a lot of improvement.

This is a very nice poem that you have written, and I wish you have a very merry Christmas and a very happy new year. God bless. Keep writing and keep sharing with us. Patricia.

Your poem captures a sad view of suffering and hungry but still with hope that those who feel the urge of the Christmas spirit might see the the need and give to those less fortunate. If those who have means but are to busy to reach out, then those in need might not survive.

This poem makes a strong statement, but I wonder if it's actually forgetfulness of is it apathy. I would like to believe that it's forgetfulness, but I honestly believe, it's apathy. Many humans, in today's society don't seem to care for each other. It's sad and I pray constantly for it to change.

Great poem to coincide with all the repeated "sound of "give" Chimed in by the Christmas spirit. We all want to do what the Spirit leads us to do not just at Christmas and not forget them during the rest of the year.
