I admire you how you managed to move from one place to the next and just start all over. Now that the kids have their new life, things look different. Thank you for sharing and good luck with the next chapter.

Thank you Iza. Just because we weren't all togther when we moved from New Orleans doesn't mean I won't have to live with some of the again. My kids were boomerangs. They kept returning.

You have certainly had an eventful life, Beth.
You lived in some interesting places with so
so much going on as the children grew into adults. I think they will enjoy the book and they will certainly remember their eventful lives. Well done dear. Nancy:)

Thank you Nancy. I had not written any of the family story lately, but my kids were bugging me to continue it. I think I have a better memory than they do and they are depending on me to remind them what they did with their life. LOL

Wonderful story and plenty of emotion at the end, very understandably. Glad you and your husband had the confidence and perseverance to sell the home yourselves. If the real estate people had sold it for $70 000 they would have taken commission out of that as well. Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed the read.

I would imagine that was an emotional goodbye to seventeen years of raising your children and getting to know lots of people there and learning the New Orleans culture. It was good that Don could help you! I'm glad you could tell that realtor off!

Thank you Helen. New Orleans is an interest city and it was one of the most important part of my kids growing up years. I did have a lot of friends there and it was harder for me to leave than for Evan. I pretty sure he didn't shed any tears.

Let us be thankful for the sad moments of life for how Would we Know Joy without it
Everything has
An opposite
It's our learning curve
Good story

Beth, interesting chapter in your book that was easy to read and well written.
Couple of corrections:
1- Norwegian lady who was determine(d) to sell it by owner.
2- Over the (next)seventeen years the house had gone up in value.
Great read, next chapter comes out, when!
Cheers...

I actually feel quite sad for you, Beth. You brought those New Orleans stories to life so vividly and 17 years is a long time with lots of changes as the children grew up. Another lovely chapter here which I enjoyed reading. Some small edits: stor(e)y; do some faxing back (and) forth. Take care Debbie

Thank you Debbie. I really appreciate the review and comments. Are you British? I looked up story and two-storey if you're Brirtish but two-story is right in America.
-
Yes, I'm British. Sorry about that then.

I do understand how you felt, when you closed the chapter of your house closing and moved to another new chapter in your life. It's strange how much a person goes through when you move on in your life. Like the story.

I know it's sad to leave a home that you'd build for so many years. I actually could feel the sadness as you described it. Thank you for sharing this with us. I can't wait to read the next chapter.

Thank you Barbara. My daughter said she cried when I described the scene with my son and I crying in the empty house. I always have to cry when I see a hugh hunk of my life ending. Thanks for the great review.
