It is a real privilege to read any of your works. I always expect the best and I'm never disappointed! I just took my daughter to see a terrific movie, and your poem was my icing on the cake! A love like the one you described comes but once in a lifetime.

So sad having a loved one away. I have always believed if a loved one is still a live a person can feel their presence. I have felt when my boys are struggling with something and call and ask what's going on. They haven't figured out how I know. I swear its Mother's intuition. I think it's true for anybody we truly love. Again, thank your talent with us.

This was a wonderful free verse, Gypsy. What a fantastic picture, it showed a young woman on a tree swing. I was surprised that you wrote it only because it seemed so sad and descriptive. Very well done and greatly enjoyed. Blessed Be n Hugs!!!

True, if a person is alive, you can feel their presence, they are in (your) person's arms. But they can also be present spiritually as you love them and will not forget them.

I feel the sensation here of a yearning narrator mourning a lost love, someone who departed and left them behind. I've had this experience, and I relate to the descriptions of a landscape drained of all colour and meaning and a world that suddenyl takes on the hue of despair. This is so beautifully written and so beautifully sad.

Yes, Navada is my pen name. It's comprised of N - the first letter of my real name - and "avada" which is from Harry Potter. It's a pen name I adopted years ago. :)

I love this free verse poem of longing and love and loss. You set the tone from the beginning with a somber picture and added the presentation of blue on a stark black background.
The imagery is stunning.
